Q-ZAR Laser Tag, located in downtown Concord for the past 30+ years, is closing on August 25, according to the business.

The business owners posted the following message online:

Farewell…32 wonderful years, Q-ZAR Laser Tag in Concord, CA, will be closing on August 25, 2024. The time has come for us to retire and pursue other interests. It has been an incredible journey, and we have cherished being a part of this community. We have had the privilege of watching many of our customers grow up and later bring in their children and grandchildren. Our goal from the beginning was to create a fun, safe, and clean place for families to enjoy. Seeing the joy and excitement on the faces of families after a game, as they discussed strategies and shared their experiences, has been immensely rewarding. We sincerely thank you for allowing us to be part of those special moments. As we bid farewell, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers, both past and present. A special thank you goes out to our dedicated tournament players who practiced with us for tournaments around the world and those held in Concord. We have made many friends through our relationships with our customers and employees, and we hope you will stay in touch. In the craziest of times, our family and close friends were always there to help when needed, whether it was cleaning, customer service, or working through operational procedures. To them, we can never say thank you enough. Please stop by to say goodbye and enjoy one last game of laser tag, or more, before we close our doors. Our final days will be 8/16, 8/17, 8/18, 8/23, 8/24, and 8/25 12 PM-7 PM each day. We encourage anyone with a season pass, arcade cards, or gift certificates to visit and use any remaining games or redemption value. Please note that no refunds will be issued, so come in and enjoy your remaining credits with us. Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude to our landlord. He has been outstanding, and we cannot thank him and his family enough for all their support. We wish them all the best. Thank you all for the great memories…

I was surprised this place was still open. I walked by here one day on my way to Peets coffee and it was
Open. But sadly another part of our childhood is gone.
