Always sad when people say, “I get both sides of the news, I watch Fox AND CNN”. If you’re still getting your news from these corrupt legacy media networks, statically speaking, you’re over 65.

11

Well, “statically speaking,” there’s nothing wrong with being over 65…. many people spend their last few seconds on earth wishing they could be.

11

With age comes wisdom, so statically speaking the over 65 crowd are more informed, knowledgeable, and experienced, than the under 65 crowd.

The most important thing to me is the ability to distinguish between “actual news,” and “editorial content,” which will be biased towards the Right, or the Left. There are several news sources that adhere to journalism’s code of ethics, but it is critical for me to avoid opinions, and editorials. This is why I do not listen to talk shows, either on the radio, or on TV. Talk shows are influential, and can influence how we think and perceive the world. I see it all the time in the comment sections, people will repeat what they have heard on TV or the radio as if it is fact, and many of them probably believe it to be factual because they don’t know any better, and are lacking in critical thinking skills. To me, it’s usually obvious that what they are commenting on came from a biased news source and in all probability are not getting the full story.
There are various new sources that have solid, unbiased, and ethical journalism, but it’s important to stay away from the editorials, and opinions. The news source that I favor above all the rest is C-SPAN. It is the most reliable source of news in the country, especially for Congress and Senate hearings. C-SPAN doesn’t have any commentators that will try to sway our thoughts, or push any propaganda on us. It gives us the opportunity to hear both sides, the Right and the Left, and leave it up to us to decide.

From Clown World Headlines! Haha

A. variety of sources.
You can usually find a thread of truth by piecing stories together.

The Wall Street Journal & The Christian Science Monitor.

Good luck Paul,,,usually European news agencies a day or two ahead of our press, even the left leaning euro press is less biased than the US national press

1. OANN
2. Fox
3. CNBC
4. KTVU

We don’t, that’s something we don’t really care about. We rarely even turn on local news either.

Had my buddy pick me up the other day and had on the radio fox news channel Martha Mc Callum or something like that and I asked him to please turn that garbage off I am not going to listen to it while we’re in the car.

7
17

I’d have stopped the car and told you to enjoy your walk. You don’t come into MY car, house or office and tell me what to listen to or watch.

TV Networks .

From Claycord.com of course. 😄

Actually from all over the place online. Lots of ideas floating around out there and news that is not news. I like news aggregators and can launch from those. I also like to measure the collective consciousness of the public to get a sense of where things are going. MSM is the least of my sources.

Do not watch bay area TV stations nor any of the cable news shows and same for any news cell phone displays, that is when I bother to turn the dang thing on.
.
I go looking for news on web, trying to find multiple sources for each news event. Often go to news websites outside the U.S. Have between 30 – 40 sites bookmarked.
.
On rare occasions just for S & G, will watch a few minutes of MS-LSD or cnn to hear current spin being spewed by propaganda wing of democrat party.
.
$10,306,082 was spent crafting very specifically worded advertising tested on focus groups, then ads blanketed media and hand held devices to con voters into passing Prop 47.
.
Many voters believe whatever they hear of see without checking facts for themselves.
.
Last Century a mass murderer said
The receptivity of the masses is very limited, their intelligence is small,
but their power of forgetting is enormous.
In consequence of these facts, all effective propaganda must be limited to
a very few points and must harp on these in slogans until the last member
of the public understands what you want him to understand by your slogan

.
All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself
to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach

.
Lacking In Basic Education, Reason And Logic

If you’re looking to any of the “news” entertainment companies, you’re doing it wrong.
You should get your information from an aggregate source. X is good because half the time it’s from the horses mouth. Anyone serving information and allows information to flow freely gives you a starting point. I don’t need to be told what to think. Just give me the information and I’ll determine if it checks out and how it makes me feel. Watching these politicians say what they say on video is what matters, not how the clowns on msnbc or fox news report on what was said. Allowing them to remove or add context is something I’ve never understood. Go dig on something if you want to know what’s going on.

@WORKS925
Wow! Aren’t we a sensitive little B.
If it was my car I would tell you to get out and WALK!
I bet you are a joy to be around.

FOX is not news, but entertainment. I try to avoid all corporate news, and even NPR now has many corporate sponsors. I try to follow independent news sources on the Internet such as Democracy Now, Truthout, Truthdig, the Intercept, Vox, Salon, and many more. Mainstream American news is mainly owned by 5 or 6 major corporate entities that have biased reporting.

5

Oh geez! I left out the Radio stations I listen to (I do a lot of driving).
KSFO & KSTE ….. Chad Benson, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Dan Bongino, Armstrong & Getty, etc…..KCBS for the news & traffic reports every 10 minutes.

7
4

Clay Travis and Buck Sexton every morning 9-noon. 93.1 FM from Sacramento. Great stuff!

I heard someone once said, ‘FoxNews is infotainment disguised as news for the minimally engaged person’.

11
4

Same for CNN, MSNBC

5
5

Aren’t they all?

For reading, New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal. For television, MSNBC’s Nicole Wallace show, because like me, she’s a ticked off ex-Republican. I used to watch Fox “News”, but I find there to be too much misinformation and gaslighting to be credible.

9
10

Who cares what letter is next to your name? Nicole Wallace is an extreme leftist in spite of the “R” next to her name.

Early morning online I check World news, WN.com — and SFGate… I read mostly just the headlines and spend time only on stories that really interest me. I also semi-trust the Turkiye TRT online site for both news in that continent(s) and for some counterbalance of our MSM political bs. For Infotainment-news, and an occasional chuckle, I listen to Fox stations.

Sky News from Australia for accurate national news of the U.S.A.

Newsmax for Greg Kelly and Chris Salcedo, Fox for Maria Bartaromo and Mark Levin. I read Breitbart News on line and American Thinker. The local papers are biased against Republicans and never mention Biden’s open border.

Rob Schmitt Newsmax.

Stopped watching MSM when they didn’t report but sensationalized. Moved to independent sites like, The Hill and Breaking Points. After the Biden drop out and the Trump ear shot I decided to shut it off altogether. What’s the point of paying attention? Haven’t watched any of it since 8/1, feeling really good, getting things done around the house, better mode, starting to do some book reading. After a good break it’s really helped me understand why paying attention to that stuff is a waste of time.
