On Sunday evening, a very observant Brentwood officer was patrolling the area of 2400 Sand Creek Road when he noticed a vehicle parked near Raley’s. The officer recognized the passenger in the vehicle as 18 year-old Taylor Martin of Brentwood. Martin, who police say is responsible for stealing over $80,000 worth of merchandise from Ulta stores all over the bay area. She was placed under arrest for a felony warrant with a bail amount of $400,000. Upon contacting Martin, the officer placed her under arrest and she was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking. The video shows Martin in one of the incidents at Ulta.

D. Becton, how do you justify this crime? Needs to feel pretty? Needs to keep busy because she is bored? 2024 stealing olympics?

Don’t worry, I will wait for a response.

Buy NOTHING online unless it is from a reputable store with a physical store-front. With the possible exception of private “artist” jewelry,
I suspect most of the “Independent & online-only” sellers of everything from makeup to electronics are thieves and looters.

If she had kept each theft under $950 she would have been cited and released. She could have stolen $949.99 worth of merchandise, walk out of the store, then return and steal another $949.99 worth of merchandise, walk out, and do it again as many times as she can get away with it. There was a lawyer on TV explaining how the under $950 law works, she said it applies only to each theft, and doesn’t accumulate, so they can keep it up all day as long as each theft is worth under $950.

If there is no threat of substantial incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

Your only chance to fix what shallow thinking democrats screwed up with Prop 47.
California Proposition 36, Drug and Theft Crime Penalties and
Treatment-Mandated Felonies Initiative (2024)

LOL… Good one, since you went political, Newt Gingrich, Rand Paul, and billionaire B Wayne Hughes Jr.(heir to Public Storage family money), supported the passage of Prop. 47 in 2024

Oops!
Meant, 2014

No surprises there…just a result of no discharging of authority by ….as fas i can tell, anyone …including law enforcement…almost to the point of just accepting into the culture….then it seems after it get totally out of hand and so brazen, they suddenly decide to clamp down on what the authorities themselves have helped achieve…..who’s in charge…who’s at the helm?
