No they aren’t fireworks have been readily available to buy and light off in CCC for the last 50+ years and this year will be no different.

@Works925 – Neighborhood fireworks were very rare 50 years ago. I suspect these days people have more disposable income, teenagers and young adults have more access to transportation, and fireworks are easier to find and buy. 50 years ago, or 1974, most households had one car, one land line phone that was in a central area of the house, and no Internet. There was much more accountability.

Not sure where you get that from .. 50 years ago we used to close our street on both ends and light off fireworks all day and night. Did it 40 years ago as well.

If you haven’t gotten it by now you never will. It’s not about rights, it’s about your fkn home potentially catching fire.
I came close to losing my home from some either entitled or ignorant, and most likely inebriated, neighbors shooting off fireworks next to Lime Ridge.
Please learn. Thanks in advance for the thumbs down.

We don’t get to use fireworks and firecrackers being of the stupid careless people who misuse them and cause problems.

Did you mean “because” of the stupid careless people?
You should be careful when calling other people stupid & careless or some smart-ass will call you out on it.

That’s not a law. We never voted on it. Your little regulations don’t mean anything. It’s called independence day.

Well 50 years ago I don’t know what neighborhood or area and income your family had but our family had 3 cars and every year huge block parties lighting off fireworks. In 1974 5’6 and into the 80s every year going to Chinatown to get trunk loads of fireworks and bringing them back into Walnut Creek and lighting them all off with the rest of the neighborhood of about 50 houses.
