Ugh. The media thinks people are so soft about a little warm spell that they need an “excessive” heat warning. These forecast high temps were more less normal in the 70s and 80s. Weather , aka “climate,” is cyclical.

And in terms of being a “heat wave”, yes it will be in that, generally speaking, a heatwave lasts more than five days. Otherwise, it’s just a short (two- to three-day) period with a higher than average temperature.

If it were cyclical you would be able to point to another twelve month period with temperatures this high but in the last 150 years of record keeping this is the highest they have ever been. Can you point to another year when the cycle of temperatures this high were repeated?

Not looking for a single high temp, looking for twelve months of continued highest temps.

Any other week and I’m sure the military would be out spraying those fake cirrus clouds (that some here don’t think exist) but I think they want the public to suffer this week. We’ll see but now local governments and the (informed) public know that is a government program and not a conspiracy theory. The mainstream press lies and says this program is new but it’s been around since the end of WWII.

Suggest you put bottled water in available space in your freezer.
Why ?
Looks like we’re in for eight days of 100 degree plus heat.

.
We will get to participate in real time, DEM’s great green energy fantasy.
Used to be we had scalable power generation, peaker plants were fired up to supply higher demand on hot days. DEMs and their unelected bureaucrats did away with those plants.
BUT, BUT, but, we have wind and solar to take their place.
Think about it because they certainly didn’t,
on hot days wind speeds drop to near zero and peak demand periods in early morning and evening, solar generation is also near zero.
.
Could be you we’ll experience power outages, if so as you sit in the dark
remember electing DEMs caused it to happen

They like to keep enterprise offices cool like refrigerators. That’s where a lot of energy is going. The lights have flickered a bit around here but no outages yet (knock on wood). Yes, I have bottles of water in the freezer to keep the refer cold during an outage. Maybe they’ll try to pull off a phone EMP attack. After all the guvmint has been warning about the potential of one. 🤖

This sounds about right. Are you ready to have your power shut off and no AC while the temps hit HIGH TRIPLE DIGITS?? I guess you could go sit in your electric car with the AC on…for an hour or so – then you’re screwed. That’s OK, we can all just go to Government-sanctioned “Cooling Centers.”

What a load of horseshXt.
