Two Drivers Arrested For DUI During Enforcement Patrol In Concord On Saturday

Concord Police Department arrested two drivers on suspicion of DUI while conducting a DUI enforcement patrol on Saturday night.

Drivers charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.

Concord Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications or over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. Always follow directions for use and read warning labels about driving or operating heavy machinery, which includes driving a car. While medicinal and
recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.

Concord Police Department will be holding a series of DUI enforcement patrols throughout the year to keep our roadways safe.

Funding for this DUI Patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Why hasn’t inflation affected DUI offenders? The $13,500 price tag hasn’t changed in several years, isn’t it time for an adjustment?

Person guilty of drunk driving is just that, ‘guilty’ treated in a prescribed manner under the law.
.
An why haven’t DEMs sniveled about too many persons of color getting arrested ? ? ?
Why is it DEMs don’t attempt to mitigate by saying drunk driver had a disadvantaged childhood?
Where’s their whining about equity . . . . .

Anybody drunk enough to drive into a sobriety checkpoint deserves to be arrested.
