Loudspeaker announcements coming from the area around the former Concord Naval Weapons Station on Friday are from a military exercise, Concord police said.
Police said the Military Ocean Terminal Concord is conducting a U.S. Army-led exercise through Tuesday.
The exercise is being conducted with several units that will require travel throughout the local area, so there will be an increase in uniformed service members during this time.
Police said there’s no need to contact them about the loudspeaker announcements. Anyone with an emergency in Concord should dial 911. For non-emergencies, call (925) 671-3333.
