It’s not my favorite Italian restaurant, but it’s alright.
Don’t have one, preferred is only 16 steps from the recliner. Mobility not what it used to be.
Wife is a FANTASTIC COOK, look forward to leftovers and one of the reasons she keeps me around.

A favorite of ours for 40 plus years.
I prefer small, independently owned restaurants. Lately we’ve been checking out the restaurants in Marin County, discovered some nice ones in Tiburon, Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Mill Valley where the food and the service were above good. It’s a little more pricey in Marin, but what the heck, it’s only money, and I may as well enjoy it while I can. Closer to home, we found a restaurant in Port Costa last week that was pretty good. Years ago, I enjoyed breakfast at Denny’s, and I’ve been to Red Lobster a few times, but that’s about it. I did try the Olive Garden once and was completely turned off by it. Coming from a Sicilian family has made me a bit critical of Italian restaurants. It’s probably been 15 or 20 years since I ate at a chain.
PS, all you Olive Garden lovers out there can give me a thumbs down, I won’t be offended, so knock yourselves out!

And yes Marin is nice to visit and eat out at. We’ll sometimes take the ferry over from San Francisco to Larkspur.. makes it a total nice trip. Regarding Olive Garden, I guess it depends on location. We’ve had a wonderful meal in their Reno Restaurant, but very disappointing visit in their Hayward restaurant .(due to the really low end ruffies that patronize it.) We got out of there as quickly as we could.- No seconds of salad or breadsticks!
My sister lives in Marin, and she knows where the good restaurants are. She’ll take us to some little known hole-in-the wall, as well as some fancy place, and the food and the service is always good. I usually prefer the hole-in-the wall, because the fancy places are always crowded. A couple of years back, she took us to an Italian restaurant in San Rafael, where they served the best Italian food I’ve ever had in a restaurant. As for the Olive Garden, I’ve only been to the one in Pittsburg, it was OK, but nothing to write home about.
I lived in Marin from 1976 to 1982, when I moved to Foster City with my exhusband.
I remember an Italian Restaurant in Mill Valley that was really good, forgot the name, they ar probably not there anymore. For seafood we liked 8 Seas in Sausalito, and there were other places in Sausalito that was good, one was Ondine’s (think that is the right name) right on the water. There were also a casual diner “Fred’s Diner” I think was the name. Love Sweetwater in Mill Valley, not for the foof, but for the music. One time when I went with frinds (after I had moved to Foster City) Clarence Clemmons (of the Bruce Sprinsteeen E street band) was playing there, what a treat.
I wish Concord had a decent steakhouse. It seems like all there is fast food chains, taqueria’s.
actually, its Pleasant Hill; Back Forty Texas BBQ will fix you up a pretty good ribeye…

Is Panda Express considered fast food? If so, that would be my pick. If not, I do not go to any other fast food joints.

Olive Garden, where else? All-you-can-eat salad, and breadsticks. Life doesn’t get much better.
I grew up on my moms and my grandmas home cooking(lots and lots from her garden and Walnut Creek orchard). Only went out for dinner a few times a year. Home cooking seems like it’s becoming a lost art here in our fast food nation.
North Beach pizza. Haven’t been there since COVID but there were several locations throughout San Francisco. Clam and garlic was my fave.
You ask for Clam and Garlic with creamy garlic sauce at Rocco’s. It is delicious.
Waffle House…especially for the violence.
