Fire season has started – we all need to be very careful & watchful!
There is a fire station right there.
Phenomenal observation, award winning I tell ya
So many places around town, overgrown with weeds, are an opportunity for the firebugs that seem to be out there…
I see people all the time driving down the road and throwing their cigarette butts out the window. I guess they don’t realize when it hits the wind it makes the cherry of the cigarette glow bright orange and start a fire. Not saying that is what started the fire. Just saying people shouldn’t do it.
I had a co-worker who used to toss her cigarettes out her car window, until I told her I had seen a fire on the highway that morning and believed it was likely caused by a discarded cigarette. She was dumbfounded because she really thought a cigarette would just extinguish itself when tossed — and she had a college degree in science! She said she was going to use the ashtray in her car from then on. At least she was capable of learning! I wonder how many people just don’t care?
Cigarette out the window.
