One Driver Arrested For DUI During Enforcement Patrol In Concord

Concord Police Department arrested one driver on suspicion of DUI while conducting a DUI enforcement patrol on Friday night. Drivers charged with DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license. Concord Police Department reminds the public that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications or over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. Always follow directions for use and read warning labels about driving or operating heavy machinery, which includes driving a car. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal. Concord Police Department will be holding a series of DUI enforcement patrols throughout the year to keep our roadways safe. Funding for this DUI Patrol was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

If the cops patrolled near the bars at 2 a.m. they would catch a lot more. There’s a very good chance that most, if not all, the patrons leaving a bar at 2 a.m. will be above .08% BAC.

Naw, ya stake out liquor stores just before sales cut off time.
Gotta stock up so they have enough to last until liquor goes on sale again and an eye opener.
There will be plenty of drunks playing keep it between the white lines marking the lanes, don’t want to move the wheel too much. Sometimes there’s two lines sometimes there’s six, that’s when ya gotta close one eye.

Maybe he’ll get the Paul Pelosi deal.

Let’s hope so, as you know Paul Pelosi got a much worse deal than what’s according to this posting is the average deal:
.
“The husband of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi pleaded guilty Tuesday to misdemeanor driving under the influence charges related to a May crash in California’s wine country and was sentenced to five days in jail and three years of probation.”

That fact doesn’t meet the right wing misinformation narrative…

And then he went ahead & got hammered.

Nice, quiet generous settlement paid to the other driver that he injured.

JWB,
.
How much time did he actually serve versus what he was sentenced?
