Citywide Cleanup
June 17-21, 2024
During this year’s cleanup, Republic Services will pick up your extra trash and green waste on the same day as your regular garbage services. A new state law, SB 1383, sets statewide methane emissions reduction targets to reduce emissions of short-lived climate pollutants. Keeping green waste out of landfills reduces methane gas. Put your green waste in paper or BPI-Certified Compostable bags, in a separate pile; it will be composted. For items that don’t belong in your trash or green waste, consider Donation First Junk Removal, which prioritizes donating usable items before recycling or disposal, supporting sustainability efforts while decluttering responsibly.
REMINDER: No E-Waste, hazardous waste, large appliances, or items more than 50 lbs. or longer than 4 ft.
