Walnut Creek police arrested a man wanted in Antioch for the killing of a man found fatally shot in his car last month.
Jacob Crooks had a warrant out for his arrest when Walnut Creek police pulled him over Monday. Officers arrested Crooks and booked him into Martinez Detention Facility on suspicion of murder.
Frank James, 36, was initially found dead from a gunshot by Contra Costa County firefighters, who called Antioch police at 5:22 a.m. on March 27. James was found in the 600 block of East 18th Street.
Antioch police said detectives used “hi-tech tools and city cameras” to identify Crooks as the suspect in the killing.
Anyone with information about the case can contact Antioch Police Detective Becerra at (925) 779-6937 or by emailing abecerra@antiochca.gov.
GOOD JOB, ONE DOWN, HOW MANY TO GO ???
If he only resisted and fought officers, they could’ve ended a career of recidivism.
True…but then the family would have hired that race-bating attorney and sued the police department & city and become multi-millionaires.
Good for you Walnut Creek police! I don’t know what’s going on but a lot of bad people are showing up in Walnut Creek lately. I hope this will deter them.
He was pulled over inside the Walnut Creek Broadway Plaza parking garage. Perhaps this is the beginning of a trend where Walnut Creek will no longer be considered a criminal safe haven. That would be great.
Walnut Creek is a great place for felons to hide.
