Are they finally going to admit all these store closures are not the result of shoplifting but actually because their profits dropped because inflation is so high their customers can’t afford to buy as much?
Wow – I didn’t know.
Thanks for the heads-up on this, Black Knight and Old Timer!
I guess I can throw away all my old paint-can labels with the paint codes on them, all stapled together for future reference.
Thanks for the tips about taking the paint code to other stores, everybody – I’ll give it a try!

Reason?
Must be lack of business..
I don’t think it’s theft and crime in Lafayette.
(Though ‘Oakland’ does foray into Lafayette seemingly every month now to do something bad)

Their customer service is so bad in Concord on Clayton Road they might be next.
Hopefully the giant pharmacy chains scaling back will encourage entrepreneurial pharmacists to open independent drugstores.
The decent people who cluster in productive towns will gladly pay a premium for convenience, quality service and just to avoid the indignity of dealing with the chain store ogres.

THE BLACK KNIGHT

Inflation prices, internet sales competition, and retail theft are killing brick and mortar retail stores. I think the government should begin looking at repealing income taxes for small and medium size brick and mortar retail stores in most parts of the country, but not in wealthy areas like Beverly Hills, and instead they should look at these small and medium size retail stores as job, employee income tax, and sales tax generators.

Why buy at American pharmacies when you can do mail order from Canada for 40%-60% less and that includes shipping.
I’ve worked in Lafayette for years. That store has a bad location. Hard to get in and out of. Always had bad service too. CVS right across the street in an extremely popular strip mall with Diablo Foods and Trader Joe’s.
Any reason given?
Yeah, NO REASONS needed.

Nope. The building is depreciated.
Walgreens doesn’t own the building in Lafayette
Being so close to the Oakland tunnel they must get grab and runs everyday,
Now they will hit WC.
I hate seeing businesses closing – the Kelly-Moore on Contra Costa Blvd. just closed, too.
ANCIENT MARINER,
.
All Kelly-Moore stores have closed.
The whole company of Kelley Moore closed.
Wow – I didn’t know.

Thanks, Black Knight!
So all these years I’ve been using paint with asbestos in it. Hmmm.
I heard Ace Hardware in concord can mix kelly moore colors.
Other paint companies can still match those colors so don’t throw them away!
Take them to other paint stores. They can match the colors, from what I’ve seen.

I miss Long’s!
Yes, Long’s was the best – CVS: not so much.

Excellent point. Why waste the time and money.
