UC Berkeley’s Sierra Snow Lab in the Central Sierra said Sunday morning it received another 7.1 inches of snow overnight, bringing its total for the most recent storm to 20.3 inches.
Scientists from the lab, located in Soda Springs at an elevation of 6,894 feet, said they expected more flurries Sunday without much accumulation.
However, they also said the spring snow isn’t over, with models suggesting a mid-week storm on the way and into next weekend, with another 1 to 2 feet of snow possible.
