The “Water Cooler” is a feature on Claycord.com where we ask you a question or provide a topic, and you talk about it.
The “Water Cooler” will be up Monday-Friday in the noon hour.
QUESTION: When you’re at a fast-food restaurant, do you prefer ordering at a kiosk or do you like an employee to take your order?
Talk about it.
Kiosk or though the company app. What good is $20/hr machines take over people job.
I don’t eat fast foods, but if I did, I would not order from my car. I would go inside and talk to a live person. People, working hard and on their feet all day, are worthy of an exchange of pleasantries with their customers. A little “please” and “thank you” or a humorous remark, can go a long way in lifting a person’s spirit and help them relax.
Real people.
Normally, I would rather interact with a real person who smiles and can answer a question or help in some way. But, these days I always opt for using the kiosk if it’s available. I hate dealing with people who hate being there, who make you feel like you’re an interruption to their day, that can’t be troubled to speak loudly, clearly or pleasantly. I hate people who don’t care enough to try and speak english properly. And don’t say I’m racist because I’m the son of 2 immigrants. LEGAL immigrants to this country.
Real person – kiosks are not always user friendly or intuitive and if you want something special, different, or custom – many times there are no provisions to provide that input
I don’t like kiosks, and I hate using drive-throughs, but more and more, I’m using Door Dash to have food delivered directly to my home.
I also love doordash
How can you stand the cold food?
Kiosks almost always
.
Real person.
.
Ive only ised a kiosk one time and that was during Covid lockdown.
People thought I was crazy when I told them this would happen when they wanted to raise the minimum wage to $15. Entry level jobs, such as fast food, will never be “living wage” jobs. People are learning the hard way, quickly. To add, no one should be eating fast food garbage period.
Most kiosks have better attitudes than most fast food employees anyway
If the food is more reasonably priced give me the kiosk. BTW the first to do it, way before Covid was Panera.
A kiosk, once I learn to use it or order from the app is much preferred. Other than In-N-Out, their people and ordering process are the greatest!
Depends on the person taking the order. If I see someone who struggles to understand English, or speak English, or struggles to show interest in customer service, I will use the kiosk. Also, depends on the length of the line. But in general, I will go to the person.
I don’t even use the self checkout when I go to the store. I prefer to talk to a real person whenever possible.
Anyone or anything that can communicate in passable enough English. At this point I can’t really be picky. But seriously, don’t eat that s**t but once a fiscal quarter at most.
Will the kiosks be gender neutral? Asking for a friend.
