The City of Concord Local Reuse Authority (LRA) and master developer Brookfield Properties have completed the process of drafting a proposed Term Sheet for the redevelopment of the former Concord Naval Weapons Station.
The consideration of the Brookfield Term Sheet by the LRA, originally scheduled for February 20, 2024, has been postponed at Brookfield’s request to allow the community additional time to review both the Term Sheet and staff report. The term sheet is a document that establishes procedures and standards for the negotiation and drafting of a Project Specific Plan and a comprehensive proposed Disposition and Development Agreement.
The City Council is now set to consider the Term Sheet at a special meeting starting at6 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024.
The City Manager has extended the Preliminary Stage of the Exclusive Agreement to Negotiate by 28 days to March 30, 2024, to accommodate the new schedule.
Please visit the Brookfield Term Sheet page to view the documents released on February 15, 2024.

First of a long line of postponements .. nothing new
The kickback offer wasn’t satisfactory
Just stop all of it. No good is going to come with developing that land.
