I used to be a baker, but I couldn’t make enough dough.
So, I kneaded a change; I needed a career rise with more dough!
I worked in a bakery as a pilot….. I’d take bread from the oven & pilot on the table….
But I quit my baking job, the dough wasn’t enough so I decided to go on the loaf!

You just kneaded to be needed.

Y’all have a great weekend!
Would you allow a 15 year old girl to travel alone by plane
when there is a scheduled layover between flights ? ? ?
.
‘Fears grow for Harper Cadman, 15, who VANISHED during layover
at Denver Airport as she flew home to California from Montana’
http://tinyurl.com/24nbhuxt
.
Airline has policy which is mandatory for 5-14 years old
but optional for kids 15-17 years of age.
My aunty will do that with me when I was 15. I arrived to this country at 13 years old, I then returned back home for the first time at 15 with a layover/transfer in LA. I now think about those trips and wonder how I ever made it back and forth without getting lost. Specially LA where I had to take a shuttle to catch the next flight. My daughter is now 9, and I will never let her take a flight at 15 by herself.
It depends on the child. Are they responsible? Experienced traveler? Self-confident? Every 15 year old has a cell phone now, so a parent can be in constant contact with them. I’d certainly prefer a non-stop flight, but many 15 year olds can probably manage a layover. In the case you cited, the girl was on her way home from mental health treatment, so perhaps she was the wrong child to be permitted to travel alone.
Pick One:
.
A) Chicken Wings
B) Little Smokies
C) Yuck
I prefer (A) any way you wanna make ’em.
Little Smokies are ok…. but only if you use my appetizer recipe:
*Place a 1 ounce portion of lobster meat on a slice of bacon with a Little Smokie just below it.
*Wrap the bacon around the lobster spiraling down and halfway around the Little Smokie.
*Secure all with a toothpick and cook on the BBQ grill.
*Baste with Sweet Soy Sauce or Teriyaki until bacon is crisp.
*Remove the toothpick and use the Little Smokie as a handle to hold the appetizer.
*Eat the good stuff and discard the handle…. Voilà !
Wait…. What?????
You don’t actually eat the smokie?????????
Zowie !
Well if there’s a dog around it doesn’t go to waste.
Chicken Wings
A) who knows what’s in little smokies these days. 😬
or in those days; either
🙂
Definitely a). I enjoy lil’ smokies, but they do not come close to wings
“B”
looks like ‘A’ is the clear preference here; I’m odd one out…
or just odd….
🙂
@S….”B”….I’ve looked for big smokies like when I was a kid, don’t think they make them anymore.
Chicken Wings
Book report: Lord of Light, Roger Zelazny, 1967. This one own the Hugo and I can’t get past the 2nd chapter. Mahasamatman may or may not be a god. He doesn’t say he is but also doesn’t say he isn’t. Sorry folks, this is not my cup of tea as far as science fiction goes. But if you are in the mood for changeable gods, demons, destruction, etc, give it a try.
Or you can just keep using TP.
This was one of my favorite books. But then it is kind of a satire on spiritual gurus and if you haven’t been around those it might not be that interesting.
Have Kaiser senior advantage and would like some suggestions of Dentists in Concord, PH, Clayton or WC.
Thanks in advance.
ORIGINAL G ~
There is kind of a list, for Dentist from Kaiser Senior Advantage.
I checked them online for reviews. Did not like any of them.

I have been eating oatmeal regularly with freshly sliced banana…noticed little faces looking back at me, some smiling, some angry–anyone else see this? I did some research and low and behold, I have ‘pareidolia.’ Even as a child I would see faces with emotions on the front grill of automobiles…

Yes indeed Sancho! I’ve got it too, in fact I put black tape over the lower half of the vertical oval of my truck’s TOYOTA emblem and turned it into a Jack O’Lantern.
Bro, same here. Old trucks always looked angry to me
When all the news of war, crime, corrupt politician, or family problems, similar too what King Charles is experiencing (he supposedly said “boys don’ make my final years miserable) work problems, what is your favorite way to tune out, or to put it another way, what works best for you?
I have a few music and nature, first also a good movie, but has to be the right subject, funny, romantic, good ending. Nature it depends on the weather and my sometimes bad knee, but a walk in Benicia State Park does the trick. However, most of the time I turn to music, it is readily available CD’s Utube others. These are some of my favorites, not in any particular order: Bridge over Trouble Water, Black Magic Women, Evangaline by The Band with Emmylou Harris, Rhapsody in Blue, Bolero by Ravel, and almost any smooth jazz, love Ben Websters Stormy Weather, others Charlie Parker play the blues. Too many favorites too mention.
Music, music, and more music.
Try “The Snow Goose” by Camel. It will become one of your go to for R & R.
“White Bird” by It’s A Beautiful Day
They were the band at my highschool Junior Prom at the Elks Club on Willow Pass….groovy….so NOT!
I love getting out in nature and leaving behind all my worries. We’re lucky enough to live in an area with great weather year round and many wonderful parks where we can hike for hours.
P.S. Other than walking in nature, movies and music always with a glass of a nice white wine, and in the winter when it is dark, candles.
@HANNE JEPPESEN….Careful that your walks don’t turn into stumbles…Cheers!
I don’t mix walking with wine. That is only for when I’m at home listening to music or watching a movie. Anyway thanks for your concern.
Hanne…. you are wise beyond your years, I’m going to put some great 60’s music on from Youtube and put on my headphones too. Time to mellow out & decompress.
@DR. JELLYFINGER….Here’s a song for which might help you mellow out……..

Yeah I like Donovan. I have one in my CD collection.
You ever hear Donovan explain the “Electrical Banana”?

I gotta sign off and prepare for the party now…. appetizers, cut lemons & limes + ice for the bar, fuzzy handcuffs, Wet Wipes, paper towels, Vaseline, extra pillows…. I think that’s about it!
So Jelly don’t keep us in suspense. With that opening you either had a wonderful evening or are now a registered sex offender. Possibly both. ????
Well…. truth be known, I just planned our usual Sunday afternoon get together (Toga Party Orgy) and totally forgot it was Super Bowl Sunday.
The only ones who showed up were the women!
Darn! 👍
Audio volume on TV and radio ads are too loud. The CALM act applies only to TV and not radio. Should apply equally to both. Very annoying.
And NO SIRENS on radio ads!
It scares the living crap outa me when one of those commercials comes on while I’m driving.
