BART service has stopped between the Walnut Creek and Concord stations Wednesday morning after a person went onto the train tracks, a spokesperson for the transit agency said.

Someone went onto the tracks near the Pleasant Hill/Contra Costa Centre station, prompting eastbound trains to turn around at Walnut Creek and westbound trains to turn around at Concord, BART spokesperson Jim Allison said.

BART police are working to resolve the situation, and County Connection buses are taking riders between the affected stations during the service disruption, Allison said.

Why stop?

My office is adjacent to the Pleasant Hill BART station. That explains why there were eight Walnut Creek Police cars in the area when I arrived at work this morning.

… so did we pat him on the back, give him a good meal and send him on his way? … or hold him on a 5150? … think I can guess at that one

5959 would be better than 5150.

A 5150 hold and a pat on the back / warm meal / send him on his way are mutually exclusive.

I was severely delayed because of this idiot on the tracks! I’ve lost my patience with the street people and all the trouble they cause. Right now I feel like saying let the trains run over them and be done with it. I’m sure hoping the new fare gates will stop all these freaks from getting into the BART system.

So you’re advocating for killing another human being because they inconvenienced you? Contrary to what you may believe, you are no better than this person. You lack of humanity actually make you worse.

Those pro-Hamas guys will do anything for attention.

If you go in the tracks don’t blame anyone but your loser self for being the dummy that gets hit by a 70 mph train!
