As we previously reported, Rite Aid on Arnold Drive in Martinez decided to close forever.
We told you on Monday their last day would be Wednesday Jan.10.
After the close of business yesterday, all signs were immediately taken off the building, but they’re still in the process of moving all the merchandise out of the former store.
We’ll miss you, Rite Aid.
Where are we going to get Thrifty ice cream now? 🙁
A check cashing facility, a vape store, and Tesla charging stations.
What took them so long?
I am so upset I get my prescription’s from this rite aide. They never notified me that they were closing found out from my husband from a post he shared with me.the day they were closing..

Prescriptions were transferred to CVS on Center Avenue in Martinez.
CVS is now completely overwhelmed. Since the closure of the other pharmacy at Forrest Hills. Hopefully they will be able to right the ship in time. But that locations hours are much less then the average pharmacy. I went there Thursday evening and the line stretched from the rear all the way to the front.
Just a reminder, please, be kind to the workers. They did not create this problem.
Also many will want to blame the rampant thefts.
The real problem is the corporations that overcharge for a medicine, the insurance that is never enough, plus the government both local as well as the national level for letting all of this define society. I’m ready for new ideas and better leadership. How greedy can you get.
