One person was killed in a crash that closed southbound Interstate Highway 680 near the Pleasant Hill Shopping Center for about two hours Friday night, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred just north of Concord Avenue at about 9:50 p.m. The highway reopened as of shortly before midnight.
The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the name of the victim hasn’t been released.
Sad, I used to live close to the that exit and drivers can get aggressive
Actually, I deal with that area Daily……and the issue is: Drivers merging from Eastbound Hwy 4 to SB 680 who either Wait until the last second to merge or do not get up to the appropriate speed to merge.
The freeway traffic is not required to brake down to 40mph to allow you to merge.
No seat belt again.
Speed – distracted driving?
