More reasons to stay away from bart.
I’ve used the BART police app to report things as well. Usually by the time the cops show up, the person has the left.
“You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious.”
You are right and unless we vote them all out in the next election, nothing will change. In fact, it will get worse.
You can make that system better real fast, secure it, don’t let anyone in the station or on the train without paying for a ticket.
Well, it’s a start. Maybe IF they keep it up it MIGHT help get BART back on track. Next up I hope will also be cleaner cars, stations, and bathrooms. I will need to see more of this before I take BART for any reason to any station.
.
BART is currently the Bay Area’s social sewer system.
Keep it up BART. You’ve got a long way to go in winning back the public trust… a loooong way.
.
Nice start and good work Bart Police but Bart as an agency has to do more. Miles to go to regain public trust. These are just the ones that got caught.

Few weeks ago I returned from a trip to Japan. Absolutely impressive public transportation system. Clean and efficient. On time. Little kids as old as 7-8 taking the train on their own after school. Quite the contrast when I came back. Took BART from SFO. Somewhere in the Peninsula a guy walks in, and immediately lights up the joint. Car fills up with his signature smell. He got off 3 stations later but the smell remained for a while. Meanwhile I’m getting on the BART app to try and report it. Of course there isn’t a clear way to file a report and by the time I figured it out, guy was already gone.
Yea… no further comments needed.
What a waste of Narcan !!!
Good start in convincing former BART patrons to come back. It will take a long time to accomplish. My wife, who took BART from Concord to Downtown Oakland for many years, continues to drive to work as she has for three years. Too many scary was well as disgusting situations.
Good start – keep this up for another 10 yrs that you’ve been lax and see if overall conditions improve. I bet this represents less than 1% of all the illegal garbage that still goes on in and around the trains.
Bart is a poorly managed public conveyance that more closely resembles a public convenience.
I always support the police.
They will do everything they are allowed to do, within their onerous restrictions, to keep the public safe.
Complain to the Bart Board, not the police.
