Please avoid the area of Monument Blvd and Ramona Dr / Buskirk Ave, if possible, due to heavy police activity in an adjacent neighborhood around Cleopatra Dr in Pleasant Hill.

Residents in the area are advised to stay inside.

Police have not released any more details.

UPDATE: Although it hasn’t been confirmed, we’re hearing a woman was shot inside her home. The woman is at the hospital and police are currently communicating with someone inside the house.

Not a nice neighborhood, but it would be cool to live on a Cleopatra Drive. Kinda a hero of mine.

We actually live right across the street on cleopatra and it’s a really nice neighborhood. Thi’s is the 1st incident since we’ve lived there in 5 years. It’s a coincidence like any other nice neighborhood it’s just the world and society we live in. Could of happened in the ritziest of neighborhoods

@JIM TORPEY ~
It is a nice neighborhood. We know some folks who live there too.
All places have their ups & downs.
I would rather live there than in an Apartment City.
Gratefully, our little house is in a sweet & decease older neighborhood.

Thanks, I was wondering why there was a lockdown.

People are losing it…there is nowhere safe anymore. When the sht really hits the fan it’s everyone for themselves.

You are your own first responder. Be prepared.

Bummer as the subject is in the house that’s right next to the intersection and that intersection is the only way in and out of that neighborhood of perhaps 200 houses.

They have also closed Monument Blvd. in both directions. I suspect that also includes people turning right or left from Buskirk onto Monument.

I could turn right onto Buskirk thank goodness. Was still closed as of an hour ago.

Reports are that a husband shot his wife. He’s a former cop and former Marine with a stash of weapons in the house.

It sure would be nice to get an update for the morning commuters…. not for me of course.
No more of that daily trapped in the rat race nonsense for me.
I’m simply, unselfishly, thinking about the welfare of others struggling to find a way to get onto the freeway if Monument Blvd. remains closed.

Not much in the way of live local news around here these days. The system is broken and no sign of return to actual normal on the horizon.

Any update on how it ended…taken into custody?

An ex-Pittsburg cop can shoot his wife through a door with a shotgun and the Pleasant Hill cops and SWAT just decide to leave the premises without him after a number of hours? Do I have this right?

Cops still closing streets near crime scene … why???
