3 Suspects Crash Vehicle Into Kohl’s, Flee With Merchandise

Pleasant Hill police are seeking three suspects who crashed a vehicle into a Kohl’s department store on Thanksgiving evening to steal merchandise.

Officers responded around 7:45 p.m. Thursday to a report of a vehicle that crashed into an entrance to the Kohl’s store at 2302 Monument Blvd. just off of Interstate Highway 680.

Police arrived to find an unoccupied vehicle that had caused extensive damage to the east doors of the business, which was closed for the holiday with no employees or customers present.

Investigators determined three suspects wearing masks entered the building after crashing the car into it, then took an unspecified amount of merchandise and fled in a white sedan.

The getaway car was probably a stolen car too. Aren’t there cameras on that shopping center?
Nobody saw this coming? Dicks will be next.

My settlements exactly!
I hear that there have been 10,000 cars stolen in/dumped in Oakland just this year. Many of the cars were from this area, and many are used in other crimes and damaged. Such a shame. I just wonder when people will wake up and start demanding punishment in jail for criminals rather than this course we’re on now where they all go free to further victimize the rest of us.

I guess this is the new and improved method of getting stuff for free. Steal somebody’s car and then smash it into a store to gain access to the goodies. What a sorry state of affairs we have going on in this State.

The amount of damage and insurance cost for these types of crimes must be huge. I can’t figure out why Police Chiefs, Businesses, and Insurance companies are not pushing politicians and district attorneys for a change in the laws for harsher and longer sentences. Why is our George Soros-funded D.A. silent? Oh wait, never mind.

They are either for rampant crime, or they are too dumb to know what they are voting for(I.e. Prop 47 – the Safe Schools and neighborhoods act).

Crime is now a legitimate career here in California, thanks to the progressive liberal Democrats and their supporters.

Neighbors car was stolen, they used it to rob Home Depot in Colma. That was the mistake right there as the San Mateo District Attorney dropped the hammer on them.

As my neighbor got court documents, the susoects stole 2 othe cars in our county in 30 days and rekeased to show up in court.

When they got car back, in the car was 4 converters, mail from 20 plus houses, mutiole tools, knives, bullets, meth, crack pipes, bongs.

Police didn’t need any of it because they got them and the gun was enough evidence.

So bottom line is we get the bulk of the crime because they know they can get away with it here.

Boy, that tells it all! But some people out there in the public are still too stupid, too liberally indoctrinated to see all the damage that’s being done by these policies.

This happened to Staples on Contra Costa Boulevard, so they installed a big bollard in front of the door to prevent it from happening again. I suspect we’ll see these bollards more and more.

It’s so hugely disappointing how many people are happy being stupid.
Conservatives will never win another presidential election.

Folks also need to install steering wheel locks or wheel locking devices on their vehicles. Just because a car has an alarm and a built-in anti-theft device doesn’t mean it cannot be stolen.

The Fearless Spectator November 24, 2023 - 5:33 PM - 5:33 PM

Just put a sign in the car window “Now hiring, inquire within”; that’ll keep it safe.

And Pleasant Hill as well as freeways and major intersections have cameras. These thieves will commit more thefts but will eventually be caught by the CHP’s Organized Retail Crime Theft Task Force in collaboration with local police agencies. It’s just a matter of time and good police work.

Need Pleasant Hill patrolling after hours malls and be visible. Keep criminals using vehicles as running into store entrances out of our city. It is dangerous for all out there. These criminals are desperate and don’t care if anyone is injured.

American Citizen November 25, 2023 - 2:17 PM - 2:17 PM

That’s terrible. I was just in that store the day before this happened. The store was completely deserted and the employees were super friendly. I got everything I needed for the holidays and was in and out in 15 minutes. I truly hope they catch the dirt bags that did this and hang them in public.
