Santorini Mediterranean Restaurant In Danville Reopens After Health Department Discovers Cockroaches

Santorini Mediterranean Restaurant, located at 105 Town & Country Dr. in Danville, has reopened after a vermin infestation closure (cockroaches).

The Contra Costa County Environmental Health Department said they found the following during their inspection in October:

  • 1 live cockroach crawling from the ceiling above hot hold area at cook line
  • 2 live cockroaches on above shelving of food prep table across mixer
  • 1 partially live cockroach on food prep table across mixer
  • 2 live cockroaches on storage rack of dishes across from 3-compartment sink
  • 1 partially live nymph cockroach on taped poster on wall behind cook line
  • Approximately 15 dead cockroaches (nymph, juvenile and adult) on taped poster on wall behind cook line
  • Approximately 10 dead cockroaches under dish machine, 3-compartment sink and storage rack of utensils
  • 2 dead cockroaches under cold units at cook line
  • 1 dead cockroach by entrance of kitchen where dirty dishes are stored
  • 1 dead cockroach by mixer
