Something missing from the last list on CA problems is CA has the highest state poverty rate. This is reported by the US Census in their SPM adjustment based on the higher cost of living in CA. Let that sink in, the contrast between what Newsom says and the reality here, the highest poverty rate in the country.

Newsom was bad news for San Francisco and even worse as Lt.Governor under Brown. As Mayor he made the “party’s scene” in the City and snorted Cocaine. As Lt.Governor he sat on the Board of Regents for the University of California. He simply didn’t attend meetings wherein important budget decisions were made — because he found them dull. The must egregious abuses of UC funds (taxpayer and donated funds alike) occurred under his so-called leadership. Apparently, the voters of the State simply weren’t paying attention.

Zelensky now has absolute control of Ukrainian media, outlawed opposition political parties and Ukraine’s Orthodox Church, declared martial law, and uses absolute power under martial law to cancel presidential elections. So much for Biden’s false narrative that the world is in an existential fight to protect democracies from autocracies, wasting billions of US tax dollars.

You supported NAZIs. Remember that question about what you would do in nazi germany? You COVID HOAXERS, just did that and you failed the morality test. Now we have a NAZI Ukraine.

I think the agenda was to spend the US into bankruptcy. One needs to look at the bigger picture. The inmates have taken over the asylum.

32

Multi-tasking! The government seems to be purposely pushing toward an intentional financial crisis and debt rating agencies are warning about downgrading the US debt like it’s a badly run grocery store. That’s Bidenomics.

23

Nope. that the Republican congress setting the US up to default on its debt and not fund the government. 5 days to go.

The goal is to keep US citizens impoverished and in debt. Our tax dollars are being sent overseas where the money is laundered and squandered on weapons for wars we shouldn’t be involved in.

No more money to Ukraine. No more money to Israel. America First.

Wrote an email to senator Glazer regarding deployment of our local CHP Officers to SF and other cities, and my opposition to to removal of our Officers

Not only did he not respond to my comments , he didn’t even acknowledge the email.

Any one else been ignored by Glazer?

13
13

Glazer ran on a promise to “clean up” the mess caused by the BART strike. Remember the BART strike? And, never let it happen again. Instead, under his leadership things are worse than they ever have been.

14
2

Glazer is just another lying democrat politician.

Never trust a democrat.

Vote Democrats out at every opportunity!

He’s not the only one. I have sent messages to many local and state politicians, with zero response, and not even a mere confirmation that they received the message.
Democrat politicians DO NOT represent and care about voting working class citizens. Period.

19
3

Yup – glazer is just another lying politician. None of them truly represent the people.

8
1

How things have changed — George Miller used to regularly send us a newsletter updating us on important matters up for vote, and frequently asked our input on them. You could call his local office anytime and leave your opinions which were seriously considered. Glazer doesn’t even return calls or emails, and DeSaulnier “presents” what he’s doing in a Town Hall meeting — an Eest Coast invention.

When the Germans and the Japanese had their butts kicked they surrendered and then got on with their lives. It appears Hamas is not that smart. Not only did they start a war they had no chance in winning they refuse to surrender even though they get punished and wrecked daily. To top that off they say they will never stop fighting. Knowing that how could so many people in the US be out marching to demand that Israel stops fighting. The whole thing makes no sense.

24
10

I’ve seen interviews and footage that makes this look like an entirely different situation than Nazi Germany, where the Nazis hid what they were doing while in Gaza the crowds paraded around tortured dead Israelis, celebrating, singing, beating their bodies and filming with cell phones. I think first world people don’t get the hate and how barbaric some are who live with cultural values from the year zero. Europe is completely unprepared to deal with who immigrated there under woke shaming of racism accusations.

16
4

When it comes to barberism I think any group is capable of it. In Europe it was caused by many things but usually by a leader that was able to convince the masses. They could eventually be brought back to their senses. In the middle east the problem is religion and it doesn’t take a lot of persuasion to get the masses worked up. There are two factions of the same religion but the difference is enough to get them to kill each other for centuries.

The 110,000 figure is expected to include a substantial number of Syrian refugees, whose admission to the U.S. has sparked debate in the presidential race. Republican nominee Donald Trump wants to bar Syrian refugees completely, alleging that terrorists could be hiding among them.”

But — for years, San Francisco residents have had to put up with rampant homelessness, open-air drug use, assaults, and feces-lined streets, all in the name of some twisted progressive notion of equity. But, suddenly, when a genocidal Communist dictator comes to town, the ideas of equity suddenly vanish and the streets get cleaned up. That’s very weird. What kind of message does that send?

Both times the cause was a Republican congress refusing to fund the government.

2
17

Another way of looking at it is that both times it was because of a Democrat administration that refused to rein in spending.

7
3

.
Perhaps you can explain to us how the national debt is attributed to each administration.
.
Is it simply from the assumption of office to the end of the administration? .
.
Or are the figures adjusted for debt created by the previous administration but incurred in the following administration?
.
Also, it’s also important for readers to note the following:

“President George W. Bush was the first president to add a multi-trillion-dollar amount to the debt to finance the war on terror, and Presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump followed suit, the former primarily to combat the Great Recession and the latter mostly to deal with the coronavirus pandemic.”
.

16
4

Sorry my bad I got the years mixed up and certainly would not want to not correct it.
.
By the end of 2016 the debt was at $19.58 trillion and by the end of 2019 grew to $22.72 trillion which still added about $3.2 trillion to the debt prior to the coronavirus pandemic.

5
21

JWB,
.
If you want to compare dollar amounts that were added to the national debt under each president the numbers should actually be adjusted for inflation or you should look at the percentage the debt hasn increased by President.
.
Events that happen under each president also contribute to the debt. The increase in population since 1900 when we had about 80 million people compared to the 340 million we have today also can contributes to the dollar amount differences in debt under each president. Then we also have interest on the debt which contributes to each successive president incuring more debt. Lastly, we have two parties in Congress that set the spending and refuse to negotiate with each other.
.
This article about the tweet by President Biden where he claims to have reduced the national debt by $1.7 trillion has caused quite a bit of confusion in calculating the debt under his presidency, despite it having been debunked.
.
https://www.newsweek.com/fact-check-did-joe-biden-bring-down-national-debt-trillion-1799499

28
4

sure here is the percentage debt increase by President.
.
https://www.statista.com/statistics/136699/percent-change-national-debt-president-us/
.
You can see the leaders are actually the “R”s given that Bush I and Trump managed their increases in just one term.

7
17

I noted for some reason the statista link doesn’t open. You can either google “US debt by President”
or you can see the following percent increases below:
Biden (through present) 8.79%
Trump 40.43%
Obama 69.97%
GW Bush 105.08%
Clinton 31.64%
GHW Bush 54.39%
Reagan 186.36%

6
20

JWB,
.
You again appear to be using incorrect numbers. The national debt since President Biden took office has increased by approximately $6.04 trillion dollars, to approximately $33.7 trillion, according to the “US National Debt Clock.” You yourself stated the national debt was approximately $19.58 trillion at the end of 2016, before President Trump took office, and you stated the nationl debt increased by $8.1 trillion over his presidency, bringing the national debt up to approximately $27.68 trillion when President Biden took office. The national debt today is approximately $33.72 trillion, an increase of approximately $6.04 trillion. Do you really believe the approximate $6.04 trillion increase in the debt under President Biden is 8.79%, while an $8.1 trillion increase under President Trump is 40.43%.
.
Also, why did you stop at President Reagan? You should’ve at least gone back as far as President Hoover to cover the modern era, or back to President Teddy Roosevelt in 1901, as that’s how far back the link in your original post went.
.
We all know that the debt under President Franklin Roosevelt increased the most by percentage over his 3 terms in office. The link in your original post stated the percentage increase in debt under his presidency was 1047.43%, which averages out to be 345.82% per term. As you’ve made it clear the events that a president deals with while in office, such as depressions, recessions, terrorist attacks, and wars, don’t matter.

19
3

Jwb is a master at cherry-picking stats to fit his own narrative,

Never trust a democrat. Any democrat.

11
2

Thanks for the link. It’s pretty consistent with what I posted.
.
Ronald Reagan $1,604,482,712,041.16 160.8%
George W. Bush $4,217,261,484,712.34 72.6%
Barack Obama $7,663,615,710,425.00 64.4%
George H. W. Bush $1,207,189,695,334.34 42.3%
Richard Nixon $121,339,561,890.14 34.3%
Donald Trump $6,700,491,178,561.60 33.1%
Jimmy Carter $208,861,000,000.00 29.9%
Bill Clinton $1,262,689,326,747.48 28.6%
Theodore Roosevelt $483,479,337.65 22.6%
Gerald Ford $87,244,000,000.00 16.4%
Herbert Hoover $2,555,913,960.03 15.1%
Lyndon B. Johnson $35,865,507,168.58 11.5%
Joe Biden $2,499,993,043,258.10 8.8%
.
It obviously depends a little bit with the current administration what date you use and as it is stated in the investorpedia article “The data above is based on U.S. fiscal years that most closely align with a president’s inauguration.”
.
But no matter how you slice it Trump with one term is quite up on that list

4
8

EXIT 12A,
.
Thank you. It appears that I was correct and JWB was posting numbers for President Biden which were based on debt incurred by fiscal year beginning October 01, 2021, while posting debt incurred by dates of service for President Trump and other presidents.

11
2

JWB,
.
If you think the last numbers you posted are consistent with the original numbers you posted, then you must be the guy who sold the federal government $10,000.00 toilet seat covers and $14,000.00 toilet seats.
.
The fact is you posted numbers for past presidents based on debt incurred over their terms in office, while you posted numbers for President Biden based on debt incurred by fiscal year.
.
You chose to make an issue of the debt incurred under President Trump’s term in office from $19.96 trillion to $27.76 trillion, an increase of $7.80 trillion, while the debt incurred under President Biden’s term in office, so far, has increased from $27.76 trillion to $33.72 trillion, an increase of $5.96 trillion over approximately 2 years and 10 months in office.
.
President Biden will likely have incurred $7 trillion to $8 trillion in debt by the end of his term in office, if not more. Why do you find the $7.8 trillion under President Trump’s term in office unacceptable, while the debt under President Biden has increased by $5.96 trillion over the 34 months of his term to be acceptable?
.
You listed President Theodore Roosevelt, did you mean Franklin Roosevelt, because he’s missing from your list, as are Kennedy, Eisenhower, and Truman?

8
2

BK you can discuss it with Exit 12A the number were provided by him.

And let’s see under Trump an increase of $7.80 trillions on a basis of $19.96 trillion represents an increase of 39% for Biden using your high estimate of $8.0 trillion on a basis of $27.76 trillion represents 28,8%. So tell me the debt increase more under Biden than Trump.
.
Remember your said “you should look at the percentage the debt hasn increased by President.”
.
I’m really done with you trying to bend the facts.

3
9

JWB,
.
Had you not tried to mislead everyone to begin with by providing numbers for President Biden under a different metric there never would’ve been an issue. The $5.96 trillion that has been added to the debt since President Biden took office, which is the metric you posted you were judging debt by, is about 21.4%, not the 8.9% that you tried to pass off to everyone. Honesty was the issue, just say you were wrong with numbers you originally posted for President Biden which made things extremely skewed. You’ve chosen to not correct the numbers you originally posted.
.
Remember, you posted “It obviously depends a little bit with the current administration what date you use.” No, it matters that you use the same dates with every president/administration, either by term or by fiscal year. You’re still trying to play the same game by trying to carve out an exemption for President Biden by implying you can count debt increases under his term differently from past presidents.
.
I never said the increase in debt, in dollars spent, was going to be higher under President Biden than President Trump, but it could be. At this point in President Biden’s term it looks like he and President Trump will have had pretty close to the same amounts in debt added over their terms. Remember, how you specifically complaind about President Trump increasing the debt by $8.1 trillion in one term? You posted that on your original post that was removed.
.
Yes, I did say “If you want to compare dollar amounts that were added to the national debt under each president the numbers should actually be adjusted for inflation or you should look at the percentage the debt hasn increased by President.” I don’t dispute that.
That was because your original “USA Today” link went back to 1901 and included presidents who had increases in debt over their terms in millions of dollars, billions of dollars, and trillions of dollars, which makes comparisons further back in history more difficult. I also have never disputed the fact that the percentage of debt added under President Trump’s term will almost assuredly be a higher percentage than the debt added under President Biden’s term. Again, the issue is you wanted to make comparisons based on dollar amounts, where you posted false numbers in both dollars and percentages.
.
You still seem to not understand the differences between dollar amounts, percentages, term in office, and fiscal years. This is just like last week when I disagreed with you over one race, in one state, in the election and you played the same games that you’re so fond of, as you always do. The only one here playing “mental gymnastics” and “bending the facts” is you.

11
3

JWB,
.
There you go again with your MAGA obsession.
.
I do agree that too much was spent and added to the debt while President Trump was in office, especially after seeing how the City of Concord spent corona virus money, just as I believe most presidents and congresses have spent to much money and added too much to the debt.
.
However, I disagree with the numbers, in dollars and percentages, that you’ve been putting up for President Biden. I believe you’re either misinformed or being dishonest, because your numbers aren’t adding up, unless you’re not telling us how you’re coming up with the numbers for President Biden. You’ve made it look like you’re numbers are for when a president was in office, but your numbers for President Biden make it look like you might be posting numbers based on fiscal years, not over the dates a president was in office.

25
4

JWB; “Ballooned” is a good description,. Biden’s economic plan is full of gas!

23
2

Please remember it is the House that is in charge of the purse. Granted the President signs off, but all bills, and this untenable debt, has its start with Congress. Pelosi is truly the one who should be made to feel shame for this, but that soulless wretch does not know/understand shame. And, debt under biden (3 years) has grown over $5 trillion (according to investopedia).

Large vehicle fleets and many transit buses operate on natural gas but we had to use technology that makes money for china.

Some might wonder who’s getting 10% . . . . . . . . .

Original G,

If we were going to move away from gas and diesel we should’ve moved towards natural gas, hydrogen, and/or hybrids. When former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger would talk about having “hydrogen highways” throughout California, he was right, we should’ve moved in that direction. I know several people who have/had flex-fuel or bi-fuel vehicles and their biggest complaints were finding the alternative fuels. I remember spending time in Los Angeles over a decade ago and using CNG powered taxi cabs.

They are passing bills to reduce Pete Buttileg and Jean Pierres salary to $1,for doing nothing at work and lying to America

That’s still too much.

They made a deal that Pete gets to keep his Village People boots. They make a bold fashion statement when touring a transportation disaster weeks after it happened.

.
Anyone who supports or endorses the Biden administration in any way must also be supportive of illegal immigration, sanctuary cities, and lax border security.
.
The big question is, “Why?”

@12a….

Because they are incapable of thinking for themselves.

Those who are dependent upon government for their financial well being.
Either thru employment or welfare type payments.
DEMs strive to increase numbers of both.

Trump in court:
“I Never Lie About Numbers,” Says Man Who Claims to Weigh 215 Pounds.

Lawyer, “Did you look at the numbers in 2021?”
Trump, “I was so busy in the White House with China, Russia and keeping the country…”
Lawyer, “You were not the President in 2021.”

People are giving Joe Biden a hard time about his age but Ivanka is 42 and she can’t remember anything.

But you just worship the idiot in the WH.

Well ain’t it Grand, . . . . . . . streets are clean and homeless are outta sight.
Streets are flooded by a couple thousand members of law enforcement.
A politician’s look good is a powerful motivator.
After Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, how soon before streets return to their usual festering, excrement stained, needle strewn with tents blocking sidewalks?
Cumulative result of electing DEMs, . . . . at all levels of government local and state.
.
If DEMs had a clue shouldn’t they have fixed things by now ? ? ?
ONLY cure is to stop electing clueless mirror worshiping DEMs.

Again – what the democrats do is only for appearance; they haven’t actually solved one damn problem.

Nor will they ever – they just keep throwing (your) money at it and pretend/point fingers.

And nobody can prove me wrong.

13

“Defund the police!” Yet they bring in officers from outside agencies.
“The unhoused are people too!” Yet they force relocation of the homeless.
“Walls and border enforcement don’t work, and are racist!” Yet they form a perimeter to keep the peons away.

Pure hypocricy by our political betters. And SF taxpayers foot the bill while Gavin and Pooh hob knob.

How long after the communists leave will SF revert back to it’s feces stained, and syringe littered outdoor drug den? My guess is before the planes reach cruising altitude.

Geez…. I wish I’d thought of that…. and Johnny Walker Black too.

Appears management of macy’s is intent on business suicide.
Strange how after so many prior examples, leftist mindset has metastasized once again.

Building a camp fire one might stack wood to ensure airflow and maximum heat.
I-10 fire in LA was fueled by wooden shipping pallets stacked up beneath the freeway within feet of underside of freeway. Land under that freeway is reportedly owned by CalTrans.

Combustible material packed under an elevated freeway. Supposedly “smart” people allowed condition to exist.

And you know who voted for the “worthless human garbage.”

And again, those morons will either redirect that statement (which says they’re guilty), or accept it (which means they’re guilty).

Must suck to be a liberal/democrap these days…especially when you’ve got nothing more than a “check-the-box” administration and appointees.
