Anyone see the seaplane buzzing around Claycord this afternoon?

Not sure what it was doing. It didn’t show up on FlightRadar24.

Ha, reminds me of the guy in the Bonanza that used to harass his ex by buzzing her Concord home.

My Father in Law died many years ago buzzing his ex in Concord.

Flight Radar 24 displays only those ADS-B transponders that operate on 1090Mhz out.
Many operators opted for a less expensive option to comply with the ADS-B mandate that being the UAT route that transmits on 978Mhz.
The “Global Exchange” system is similar to Flight Radar 24, but will also show aircraft using UAT equipment.
You can find then at https://globe.adsbexchange.com/. Happy hunting!

I had a relative that always said he was on a seafood diet….”I see food and I eat it”……..He could always be found early in the morning having breakfast at Chick’s and taking a dozen donuts for snacks through the work day…..take me back to about 1960 and drop me there.

Never saw the sea plane – was too busy trying to maneuver my vehicle in stop and go traffic. The Wednesday afternoon traffic was the worst I’ve ever seen in Concord – all streets from Concord Ave. to Ygnacio Valley Rd. (including side streets) were affected. It would be nice to know the cause of this…

WTF with the god-awful traffic Wed. afternoon. It took me 40 min to get from Sams club (New Drive) to Treat.
After Treat, It was much better. Traffic lately on Concord Ave./Galindo to Clayton Rd. has gotten much worse. Howcum, Mr. Traffic Guru for city??

At 10/25/2023 5:39 PM the Pleasant Hill Police Department sent out an advisory with:

Advisory: There is heavy traffic on city streets as a result of accidents on nearby freeways. Please be patient, slow down and drive safely!

We are aware of several ongoing traffic incidents on nearby freeways. Because of these incidents, there is heavy traffic on major city streets such as Contra Costa Bl, Taylor Bl, Gregory Ln and Monument bl. We do not have an estimated time frame for the traffic to clear and are asking all drivers to prepare for heavy traffic.

Please slow down, and drive safely!

Perhaps too many people were watching the seaplane and not the road.

An accident on 4 at 10:00am, involving a tanker and a spill (?), left the roadway needing repair.
I have a friend that left Pleasant Hill on the Monument freeway on ramp trying to get to Bay Point at 7:00pm, took her 1 hr and 40 minutes to get home and as she passed on 4 at Port Chicago they were still doing road repairs. Other than that don’t know anything else.

Looks to be a Beaver
