Concord police say a man who robbed a jewelry store at the Sunvalley Shopping Center in May has been arrested and charged.

Bryant Donquile Gray, 35, of Pittsburg is already in jail in San Francisco for an unrelated attempted homicide.

Police say Gray was the man who, on May 18, entered Sam’s Jewelers armed with a hammer, confronted staff, and smashed glass cases, stealing approximately $25,000 worth of jewelry.

Gray allegedly fled in a vehicle before police arrived. After months of investigation, police said they identified Gray as the suspect.

Police said the case was forwarded to the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office, who filed charges of second-degree robbery, grand theft of personal property and second-degree burglary. They said special allegations of Gray’s violent criminal history were presented at filing.

OK, charging is a start . . . . .
come back and tell us if he’s found guilty how many years he will be incarcerated.
OR are ya’ll gonna wait until he kills someone ? ? ? ?
.
If there is no threat of incarceration,
there is no deterrence to criminal behavior

$25,000 worth of jewelry Did they recover that? Wouldn’t you think they would have a gun in a jewelry store.

Years ago, I was browsing in a pawn shop in Reno, and ALL the sales guys were armed. Very prominent shoulder holsters.

There was an attempted robbery at a gun store in Livermore on Sunday. The owner of the facility was armed and shot and killed the robber inside the store. This should be standard procedure for all retail robberies.

That guy was as dumb as a stump. Robbing a gun store with a hammer.

That’s the way to do it. We should all have holsters. Many lives would be saved.

I would be shocked if Diana does not reduce the charges and just gives him probation. I’m sure his mother will tell you he is a good boy. Would love to see the final disposition of this case but I think we already know the answer and it’s down right depressing.

I think the attempted murder charges will insure he does some real time behind bars.

Hmmmm, just two days after the Target in Pittsburg closed.

He was just trying to feed his family, gold is an important part of a balanced diet. He also is turning his life around as he is going to Harvard next fall, the only requirement he needs is a paid-up Hamas membership card.
