No and at 4.6 I should have but nothing. Funny is I had just read that tomorrow is a quake alert drill. I was wondering if they were a day early since the alert also came in by text on the phone. . Not unusual that earthquakes occur in the days following an eclipse.
Wow, good to know. I will try to remember the correlation to eclipses and see if it happens again.

I’m in north WC near Pleasant Hill and felt it as light swaying of the building. My wife was outside in the garden and did not feel it. 15 to 30 seconds after it was over later I got the alert text. That reminded me that there is supposed to be a test of the earthquake alert system. The test is planned for tomorrow, Thursday, October 19 at 10:19 a.m. PST.
Did anyone get a test alert today as mentioned above? I didn’t. Maybe the real one yesterday was sufficient for data.

Yes, my pup and definitely felt it! We live near Clayton Rd/Kirker Pass. My home shook side-ro-side like it was designed to do👍🏻 Though it woke up my pup. She gave me the stink eye as if I poked her with my foot😉 This time of year has long been nicked-named earthquake season

No, but the alert system freaked me out! I thought for a sec there was incoming bombs or something! Geez!🤣🤣
This is the third or fourth alert I’ve gotten for a quake I never felt. The system needs some calibration or they are just going to train people to ignore it.
This one was at least close and large enough to potentially warrant the alert. The others were so far away, and not large enough to have any effect near me.

I too received the earthquake warning. It stated something like: “An earthquake has been detected and be prepared to drop, cover, and hold on.” Sure, I will pull over to the side of the freeway and duck under my car or under a freeway sign. I am far more worried about an earthquake happening while I am driving than while I am inside somewhere. These alerts only apply for when people are indoors. I can’t get off my mind the memory of the collapsed Cypress Freeway.
This wasn’t an earthquake, this was a tremor.

USGS said because the epicenter was in an area saturated with water that when the initial jolt was detected the sensor indicated a much higher intensity (over 5.0 ) which automatically triggered the warning. Don’t ask me how the thing works, but that’s what they said.
Yes I felt it
