One person is in custody after a reported stabbing in front of the Concord BART station on Monday night, a spokesperson for the agency said.

A male stabbing victim was taken to the hospital and is in stable condition, BART said, and a potential suspect is in custody.

Police are reviewing surveillance footage to determine what happened, but around 7:25 p.m., trains passed through the Concord station without stopping based on reports of a stabbing outside the station.

More information will be available as the investigation progresses.

Plus increase in fares.

Don’t forget the shorter trains to make them “safer”. The naked tweaker yelling at people wasn’t removed until we got to Embarcadero yesterday, BART runs a tight ship.

I propose a tax increase to help stop stabbings on BART.

@ConcordDonut
Car break-ins, getaway transport, fare evaders, mass muggings.
BARF is checking all the boxes….of third world transportation.

CONCORD DONUT,
.
Don’t forget the juvenile who raped a woman in the Downtown Concord BART Station parking garage 2-months ago. He fled the scene via a County Connection bus, the bus was stopped and surrounded by BART Police and Concord Police near Sun Valley Mall where the juvenile was arrested.

Let’s keep building all the apartments in Concord and the hell with the crime.

I’m not clear on what new rental housing has to do with crime. Police aren’t builders.

Renters are poor. Poor people commit crimes. You don’t understand because you’re brainwashed to pretend you don’t see the connection. But we all know you do.

OLD TIMER,
.
A previous incarnation of the Concord City Council from about a decade ago supported the ABAG/MTC “Plan Bay Area/One Bay Area” that would/will put enough apartment projects in downtown Concord to house an additional 22,000 residents. The current incarnation of the Concord City Council appears to support this urbanization plan of Concord because we haven’t seen any push back from them. In fact, we have current Vice Mayor Edi Birsan saying “I like urban chaos,” to Concord residents who oppose this planned development and the urbanization of Concord.
.
Also, let’s not forget the development of the former CNWS property and the estimated 28,000 (City of Concord) residents, or the estimated 30,000 (USN) residents, or the estimated 33,000 – 40,000 (Lennar/Five Point) residents, or the estimated 38,000 (Concord First Partners) they want to put on the former CNWS property. Then we have the estimated 2,500 residents they intend on putting on the former USN/USCG housing property, the 800 estimated residents they want to put on the North Concord/Martinez BART Station property, the thousands of residents they want to put into in-fill project developments throughout the city, and the thousands of residents they want to put in backyard Accessory Dwelling Units throughout the city. This is the plan the Concord City Council supports, they want urbanization of our suburban city and they was to move our population towards 200,000 as quickly as possible.

…..and BART keeps wondering why ridership is low…..

How did they know the victim was male? Did they investigate his pronouns?

Took BART from Oakland airport earlyTuesday evening. NEVER AGAIN! No security people in sight, or even regular personnel. A crazy man, obviously high, was menacing. We are seniors. Thank God we made it home safe.
