The following is from the Pleasant Hill Police Department:

Yesterday afternoon, our Investigations Bureau and Patrol teams worked a joint operation to combat Organized Retail Crime and Retail Theft in the Crossroads Shopping center.

Through coordination with multiple Loss Prevention partners, our officers made a total of 13 arrests for a variety of charges such as petty theft, narcotics, and active warrants.

Jennifer Santos (22) Concord
Nancy Echeverria (22) Oakland

Keep an eye out for additional operations throughout the upcoming holiday season!

Loving the diversity of those arrested. Throw the book at them!

@WC—Creeker
Unfortunately, the book that used to be thrown has thinned; perhaps, the prison should be thrown under them, especially if anyone was hurt during the commission of their robberies.

* ON TOP, not under them.

It’s a start, unfortunately it’s like the ‘war on drugs’ just can’t be won. Well at least until all the stores close, but then it’s just amazon that won.

So from the dawn of time we’ve had stores with products and now shoplifting “can’t be won?” We need the will and it will be resolved. Basically go back to what works, arrest the criminals before they collectively destroy civilization and make us all prisoners in our own homes.

36

Now prosecute, and if found guilty, no plea deals, sentence them to the max.

Ha! Losers! You got caught.

And promptly released!

That’s always the part missing in the story. Where are they now?

Great work PHPD! I hope there is some consequence for their actions or they will be back out doing it again tomorrow. Maybe a racketeering enhancement as it seems to be organized?
just a fantasy I guess.

15

They should be swinging from the streetlight. I’m ready for vigilante Justice.

I hope they all “fell down” during their arrests.

Only one was White.

Anon and how do you know that?

Completely futile effort by LE, if CoCo DA doesn’t vigorously demonstrate to criminals there are consequences for criminal acts.
.
Look to antioch as to how bad it can get, thefts 1,126 and auto theft 778 and EIGHT homicides. January thru end of August 2023.
.
There is only one clear message that needs to be sent next election,
vote DEMs out at every level of CA government.

Now it is time for the District Attorney to do her job.

Reparations paid!

Instead of federal grants for useless DUI checkpoints, they need federal grants for stopping retail theft. Protect brick and mortar. More than one person involved should equal conspiracy charges every time.

So will there be a follow up note on Claycord on if Becton decides to do her job?

We have ALL heard and read that these criminals, throughout the country, have FB groups which they use to come together to plan their muggings. What is the police and politicians doing about that? NOTHING! They should start taking a look at ALL social media sites (FB, TikTok, YouTube, X, etc) and dismantle those groups and nab the main people in charge of these criminal groups. Use the social media posts and group affiliation as evidence.

Also, STOP, STOP!! giving titles to the criminals such as: Career criminals or criminal enterprise. It isn’t a career nor a business, it’s crime. It’s insulting to equate a law-abiding citizen with a established career to a criminal. I guess is because there are politicians who are criminals and they make a profitable career out of it, but that’s a subject for another day.

good job LE! now Becton do yours and lock the revolving door….. wish we had pictures though just to complete the look

But, but, but… their babys and families need to eat, poor illegitimate rug rats.

And after they are quickly booked and released, diane will host 13 criminals at her hovel for dinner. Yum!

If only we could afford to send them to prison. Legislature is making property crimes less important to save money and close State Prisons. Write to the State representatives.

PHPD literally drove past a man hiding behind the dumpsters by Dicks. He was fully loaded with merch!!
