Bay Area Health Officials: “Get The Updated COVID-19 Vaccine”

by CLAYCORD.com

Bay Area and statewide COVID-19 infections rates are up over the past couple of months and health officials are advising people to get the updated vaccines when they become available.

And while the current week-over-week increase is small, case numbers have been steadily growing statewide since the end of June, when HHS reported that 4.3 percent of tests came back positive for COVID.

At the same time, people appear to be getting less sick when they contract the virus, with the seven-day statewide average of new hospital admissions hitting about 375 on Sept. 1, compared to 519 on Sept. 1, 2022.

“It is encouraging that despite this wave, we are not seeing a proportionate increase in the severity of illness compared with prior surges,” said Dr. Stephen Parodi, an infectious disease specialist and clinical lead for Kaiser Permanente’s coronavirus response.

That trend is mirrored in the Bay Area, where every county has seen an increase in positive COVID tests since June 30.

The seven-day positive test percentages for Alameda, Contra Costa, Solano, Sonoma, Santa Cruz and Napa counties all ranged from about 11 percent to 14.5 percent, while the percentages for San Francisco, Santa Clara and San Joaquin counties ranged from just over 8 percent to 9 percent.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced that updated vaccines from Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna will be available later this week and the California Department of Public Health said all state residents should avail themselves of the new shots.

QUESTION: Will you get an updated COVID-19 vaccine?

This article states that health officials recommend getting this updated vaccine; however, other health officials have recommended NOT getting it, as there is no clinical data that it’s effective.

I see some of you have your secret decoder ring working! 😁

For the rest of you my answer is **NO** . I have no interest in putting a poorly tested unnatural gene therapy in my blood line. We get enough gunk getting from our environment anyway. Have had no cold or flu in years anyway and have a natural way of dealing with any such symptoms should they occur. Apparently flu no longer exists anyway anyway.

Go ahead people and don’t question these “officials.” Get the shot then wait for the clinical trial data.
Don’t worry about any side effects as the government will take care of you in the future, if you have one.

I plan to get the updated shot, but probably not until mid to late October. The shots should provide the best protection for about three months, so that should cover the holiday season. Of course I’ll also get a flu shot, just as I do every year.

It’s unfortunate that everything about Covid has become political for many.

My refusal to participate in a global experiment involving a relatively untested “vaccine” that doesn’t prevent illness or transmission has nothing to do with my politics. If you’re making health care decisions based on politics, that’s on you.

Since getting the shots, I have been dealing with AFib. Weekly. Never had it before the shots and now it is getting to be debilitating. I am tired and weak. Now I have to take meds for that. It also caused my blood pressure to raise to extreme levels. Never had high blood pressure before. Now I have to take meds for that. Be very cautious when getting these shots. I will not get another one.

I’ll join the majority here with a NO.

I didn’t get the shots last time and I won’t this time.

What is good to see is that about 99% of the commenters also say no.

I guess we’ve all had enough.

I noticed that too and thought it was strange that the publicly available reports only cover December 2020 to January or February 2021 when the shots were first released. We should have over two years of data available now. Also, a vaccine is supposed to trigger acquired immunity against whatever you are getting vaccinated against. While the messenger RNA (mRNA) shots were quick to develop (our labs were able to create the formation within a few hours of receiving samples of the virus from China in January 2020) it appears they are not “vaccines” as they don’t result in acquired immunity against COVID-19. About a year ago I read that a genuine vaccine developed using traditional methods rather than the speedy mRNA method was nearly ready but since then it’s been radio silence.

Friend is nurse practitioner in small hospital. They have 12 beds. Each bed had a covid patient. Heart attacks were in the hall.

Of the 12 hospitalized covid patients , not one was vaccinated . Several told the friend that vaccines were “ Poison”

And could the vaccine skeptics tell me how we eliminated polio so quickly? I fact the Taliban has murdered people giving polio vaccines.Taliban says vaccines are poison .

Don’t take this wrong, but vaccine deniers are proof of Darwin in action . Might help solve the over population issue. I encourage their blather.

12 out of how many unvaccinated in that area? You need the rest of the data to draw any results. Government has done a good job making the public not to trust it.

Superstitious Aloysius September 14, 2023 - 2:00 PM - 2:00 PM

But did any of the 12 people actually die while hospitalized? And, if so, was their cause of death solely covid?

Sincere thanks for the entertaining anecdote.

WC Resident September 14, 2023 - 5:37 PM - 5:37 PM

12 out of 12 were unvaccinated? I don’t think you would find that, even in the most deeply conservative parts of the USA. Here on Claycord many seem to claim they are anti-vax, unvaccinated, etc. However, 94.4% of Contra Costa county’s population has received at least one shot and 89.6% of the population has had two or more shots. The people chattering on Claycord either lie, and quietly are getting vaccinated, or there’s a correlation between not getting vaccinated and chattering a lot.

Getting the shot improves your odds a little. If you are not vaccinated then you are 1.9 times more likely to be hospitalized when you catch COVID-19. While that sounds terrible for the unvaccinated the odds of getting hospitalized are still extremely small. Unfortunately, the county has never revealed the number of people hospitalized due to COVID-19 other than back when they were reporting care home numbers they also reported the admission numbers from that population. Thus while I can see that the odds of getting hospitalized were very low I don’t know the exact number. The county did report on the number of people in the hospital but if ten people were admitted in a day and ten more were discharged that day the number would stay exactly the same. Thus we never knew the number admitted.

The deaths number is easier to work with. As of the the day President Biden canceled the pandemic the county had reported 302,824 cases of COVID-19 resulting in 1,601 deaths. Roughly one out of every 189 cases resulted in a death, or 0.53% of the cases. However, don’t be sad as the county greatly under-counts the number of cases as they can’t test everyone every day. Right now the positivity rate is about 5% meaning 55,000 people in the county have COVID-19 at this moment. Of that 55,000, about ten of them are in the hospital. Your chances of landing in the hospital due to COVID-19 is about 0.02% if you are vaccinated and 0.04% if you are not.

Willis September 16, 2023 - 1:19 AM - 1:19 AM

The COVID “vaccine” administered were not all the same formula. Some had a larger amount of mRNA and some had less. Some were only saline. Everyone who agreed to participate in the worlds largest clinical trial by agreeing to inject this gene therapy into their bodies gambled with their lives. I worked for our local private hospital for 25 years, and was told we had to get this injection to stay employed. Most of my coworkers took the jab. One developed cancer and kidney failure shortly after, and has been off work going on 2 years. The others now have weak immune systems and are always sick. I took a religious exemption but was laid off shorty after coming back to work, even though I was a top performer…. hmmmm
I don’t personally know any anti vaxxers, but I do know a large portion of people who developed blood clots. My brother in law ran a 6 minute mile at 62 and is now 63 and in late stage heart failure after 2 shots required by the USAF. My sister in law was vaxxed and boosted, and passed away from myocardidis at 53, earlier this year. I have zero trust at this point, and never missed a vaccine in the past. My point is, don’t always believe people have your best interests in mind, even if they’re in a position of authority or MDs.

Whenever it starts with … “I have a close friend who is a nurse …” … freeking nurse corps is as brain-washed as they come … were doing injections without aspiration … which is nursing 101 … putting people on venilator death machines, not giving any instructions on the importance of exercise, vitamin D/C + zinc, diet, etc … the nursing corps worldwide became the little pharma robots and left their brains at home … whatever happened to “first do no harm” … and they just didn’t blink twice … sad to see that during a time when we really needed good nursing …

Jojo The Circus Clown September 14, 2023 - 1:51 PM - 1:51 PM

You have to know … prior to 2019, it costs billions to get a new vaccine through the once rigorous FDA safety protocols … but … the work around is this thing they concocted called “EUA” … Emergency Use Authorization … they knew … majority of the world population was gettable … ready to be fooled …and they were … to the tune of 100s of billions in profits … Ivermectin stood in the way … hence “horse dewormer” propoganda … well … it actually worked … they did it … now they think we are still gettable … and aside from a small percentage of folks … they will do it again with impunity … congrats Willy G … you win again … humanity loses … again …
