20-40 Lights In The Night Sky – Anyone Else See Them?

Anyone see the lights in the sky tonight?

This came from a Claycordian who was sitting in her backyard tonight.

“We were sitting in our backyard this evening in Clayton, around 8:20 PM on 9/11. We saw a string of lights go over in the night sky. There were at least 20 to 40 lights all in a row, spaced perfectly. Just wondering if anyone else saw them? What were they? I tried to capture a picture but it was too dark but this will give you a general idea.”

Yes, me and my friend just watched them go across the sky when we were sitting outside! They were going west to east. Maybe some sort of satellite train, or train launch?

.
It was a meteorite skipping along the mesosphere due to a shallow (tangential) angle of incidence.
.
A relatively common occurrence. I’m glad you all were able to observe the phenomenon.

Uhhhh. No. That’s not what that is at all.

Thanks NYTEMUVR
I… needed that.

@DR. JELLYFINGER…Back in the late 70s my friends older brother lived a couple of houses down from Peter Tork in the Sunset District in SF. I got to meet him once, he was a pretty cool guy back then. He loaned David Crosby the money to buy his ship, the Mayan in the 60s. Those were really fun days.

Elon musk. Starlink

These are Starlink satellites launched by SpaceX. For the first few days after launch ( which is usually 20 or more satellites at a time) they will be visible as a long string of lights reflecting the sun as they fly over. They will eventually spread out and raise their orbits higher and become less visible. There are thousands of them up there.

Precision jettisoned low earth internet satellites from SpaceX rocket for StarLink via the planet’s most eccentric visionary inventor for mankind’s progress…Elon Musk!!!

He’s no visionary. Musk lied about founding Tesla and other companies.

Agreed. Elon believes AI is an existential threat to mankind and yet he runs Starlink, Tesla (electric cars connected to the web) and wants to put a microchip in people’s brains.

I asked Elon Musk to let us know what his impression is. They look to me like rapid fire projectiles from a Battleship or something similar … but too high and no one complaining about them reaching a target. 😊

“SpaceX will launch another batch of satellites for the company’s Starlink internet service from “Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 11:57 p.m. PDT Monday (2:57 a.m. EDT / 0657 UTC Tuesday). We’ll have live coverage of the liftoff in our Launch Pad Live stream. So….maybe they … went early?” https://spaceflightnow.com/2023/09/12/live-coverage-falcon-9-rocket-to-launch-another-batch-of-starlink-satellites-from-california/#:~:text=SpaceX%20will%20launch%20another%20batch,our%20Launch%20Pad%20Live%20stream.

I was told it was space link satellites.

Did not see the lights. But Saturday night before and after it got dark watched lightening come up from the ground into the sky. I was looking from North Concord towards the Delta?. It was very strange.

From the area of the Wind Farm? I don’t think it would be good to have that area act like dozens of lightning rods. But I don’t know about that. ??? anyone know?

Until then, keep watching the skeeeez

Hopefully the Starlink Elon previously denied Ukraine recently for use in the Crimea area.

It was L. Ron Hubbard & his Thetan attack force doing a recon fly over before they attack us in a daring raid to free Danny Masterson from prison.

I think it’s more likely it’s Elon Musk firing his sperm across the skies in the interest of solving underpopulation. X Æ A-12 Musk, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk (nicknamed “Y”), and then Techno Mechanicus “Tau” Musk. Name the next offspring. Ꟈẘɝḛꞗ?

Well, whatever it was….
I was protected with my Tin Foil Hat.

It is Starlink and I have seen them from my backyard in Concord before as well.

A Serenade from the stars……..

I heard it was China Joes’ and Greasy Gavins’ ‘eye in the sky’, watching to make sure none of us do any protesting at school board meetings, and to make sure none of us put the wrong garbage into the recycle container.
