I’m all for volunteering and keeping the city clean; however, we pay a lot of city taxes and city employees make a nice living with benefits -therefore the employees of PH should do these tasks.

TTD – “I’m all for volunteering and keeping the city clean” … then come out and have some fun. Free breakfast and a few hours of work that will help the city.

Your sense of selfless service is overwhelming. . .

Incidentally, Dinosaur Hill Park & Pleasant Hill Park are property owned by the Pleasant Hill Rec and Park District – The District is not affiliated with the City of Pleasant Hill. White Pony Express, Food Drives & Bike Build-A-Thon are private charities – not affiliated with the City of Pleasant Hill. Valhalla Elementary School, Sequoia Elementary School, Robert Shearer Preschool, Pleasant Hill Elementary Campus, Pleasant Hill Instructional Garden and College Park High School are all properties owned by the Mt Diablo School District – not affiliated with City of Pleasant Hill.

Creek clean up is the responsibility of the property owners. There maybe parts of Ellinwood creek owned by the City but the vast majority is private property.

Do you want all your tax dollars going to pay city employees to work on private and District’s property?!?

I see I got a discussion started- mission accomplished. I also learned some info that I did not know before – so thank you for that.

My grandchild and I use to go to Newell Park and remove garbage from the water. Honestly it did not help. The homeless don’t care and like to litter.
