Honest, law abiding and hard working citizens are hungry for some:
Lower inflation.
Lower gas prices.
Less crime.
Fewer children dying of fentanyl poisoning.
Lower taxes.
Maintenance of roads, infrastructure and things our taxes are supposed to be paying for.

How about Mark? Can you actually do something real for the middle class?

How do expect road maintenance to be performed while lowering taxes?

We who actually have jobs and pay and have payed taxes have actually paid for it, already – many many times over.
Wake and smell the coffee, DI.

People that want tax raises and say that we need them are people that live off the govt and always vote for a tax raise, they are told to for their own good.ItTax raises don’t hurt these people as much as it helps them.

DANGED INEFFECTUAL,
.
Stop the gas tax subsidies to run public transportation and put in underused and unused bike lanes and use that money to fix the roads. It’s time for public transportation to run on ticket sales alone and for bicyclists to pay yearly registration fees to pay for bike lanes.

I have volunteered for the food bank for years. They do a great job. They don’t need Mark’s help.

Mork is just pandering to the lazy dumb-dumbs as usual; who just want their free stuff and a government that coddles them.

Mork will do anything to get votes, and to distract attention from his inability to accomplish anything substantial and important.

CAUTIOUSLY INFORMED,
.
Mark doesn’t need to campaign to get votes. He has won reelection for almost 20-years with 60% – 80% of the vote. He has the words “Democrat” and “incumbent” next to his name on the ballot, that’s all he needs to get reelected. Why would you want Mark to accomplish something “substantial and important”? If he did accomplish something “substantial and important” it wouldn’t be something that you want. Mark is providing a service by not working on anything “substantial and important” because he’s not creating something overly damaging. Mark DeSaulnier is far less damaging than George Miller III was.

B.K.
You make a good point about being a democrat here in California is all that’s needed to get elected, no matter how incompetent and feckless a person is.
When I say something substantial and important, I mean something actually that helps working class taxpayers – the citizen group that is ignored by the democrat government.

Reducing inflation especially in food prices would help. Or are we going the Wiemar Republic route? There are some areas of life that people should not be so passive or tolerant.

Lots of inflammatory and off-topic comments here.

Kudos to Congressman DeSaulnier for calling attention to the issue of hunger and the good work done by Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano for the good work that they do.

No one in this nation should go hungry.

Gee this guy seems to be ramping it up with the props to be appealing. First he surrounds himself with kittens – now food. What’s next? Fall leaves, a pumpkin spice latte, and fuzzy blankets? How about babies – they’re cute. Oh wait, I forgot, Dems hate babies… scratch that one. Cue the crackling fire with the snow falling by the window. Is he running for reelection or trying out for the Bachelor?

Dems love aborted babies.

He will also put on jeans and a plaid shirt.

@SF OH
They hate crackling fires too.

Roudtable discussion. Hi, my name is Mark, can I provide you some tax money for a great headline about what great things I’m doing with other peoples money? C’mon Mark, incent some businesses with high paying jobs to move in and build up the lower-middle class wages giving people some dignity and the ability to buy food themselves. I can dream…

He’s running for reelection. Once he’s re-elected, he starts running again for his next term.

Useless POS.
