He’ll prob say he’s working hard to make sure all animals have covid vaccines, believe all the hype about climate change, and are registered as mail-in Dem voters.

More votes for him!

Thank you so much for doing this at an animal shelter we need so many more protections for our pets. It would be nice to get a federal spay neuter program TNR program funded. Also, tax write off for pets. There are too many breeders that are out there still Mass producing and then they don’t take care of the animals well either that’s where the department of Justice would be an important department to finally get in on what’s happening with the pet industry as well as the wildlife industry. I’m not sure if you’re aware of this or not but animal feed they’re using animals that have diseases and in their animal feed that needs to be illegal we should not be feeding humans or our pets or livestock animals that are sick with diseases there’s information out there about this issue it needs to be addressed. There are so many issues that really need to be addressed to improve protections for not just pets but for all of wildlife are horses you know we have an Extinction crisis that is going on here that we just are not talking about enough increase of diseases what with climate change covid-19’s perfect example the wildlife trade we’ve got to get a handle on this Wildlife trade no State should be allowed to be involved in any way shape or form with the wildlife trade. Also animals that are used in medical research we don’t need to use animals any longer in medical research there are alternatives but these facilities and research centers bring in so much money when they use animals they don’t want to change up I mean we are totally disregarding the lives of the sentient beings all of them. I applaud you for what you are doing thank you so much and I’m not even from your county I hope you talk to your colleagues about these. The endangered species Act is being under attack the gray wolf is being exterminated out of spite not because there are true problem but out of spite. The whole system that we have set up the pitman Robertson acts needs to get changed up we need people in these departments that actually want to help our habitat and all life that lives on every habitat that is on this planet we don’t need to be doing the same thing over and over and over again we are killing all these animals and our habitat off in the same people are in these departments then we spend millions of dollars to try to bring the species back or the Flora back just to kill him that’s nonsense. and kids don’t need to be taught school how do you use a gun they already get taught that in the counties that they reside in in the states that they live in I’m talking about the Biden Act to not fund school hunting. Archery is ok. What part of that issue is that there really aren’t that many hunters but the hunters that exist are writing up so much legislation that’s destroying our wildlife and funding schools to teach kids how to hunt that’s just a method of trying to bring in more people into hunting.

You sound like a Democrat thru & thru….
What you said even sounds like Joe Biden or Kamala Harris talk.

Did Kamala write this? BTW, what is the “Biden Act To Not Fund School Hunting”? If it exists I’m sure I’m paying for it, so I would like to know.

Looks like Mark is trying to clean up his sleazy reputation by hanging out with puppies and kittens. Remember a snake is a snake.

It’s a waste of time, there’s more important matters to address every body list the important ones to so maybe he will get to work on them first?

14
8

Will he get neutered, as a public service?

29
9

That was already done when he switched parties.

24

Focus, are the Animals in need.

I’m sure all the puppies and kitties will gather around to hear his great plans for the future. Might be the only place to get an audience? 🤣

CAPTAIN BEBOPS,
.
I understand that many of us here don’t agree with Congressman Mark DeSaulnier on most issues, but do you really believe he can’t get an audience when he’s won his general election races for the State Assembly, State Senate, and the US Congress with 60% – 80% of the vote?

11

DeSaulnier will be introducing his new bill to ensure adoption equity for kittens of color. White kittens will have their fur dyed in a rainbow motif to show proper support for the LGBTQ community. This potential scenario isn’t any crazier than any of the other goofy concepts these guys have already introduced.

Is this a gimmick so people will show up? I mean who doesn’t like puppies and kittens.

11
7

BADGE1104,
.
Trust me, Mark doesn’t need a gimmick to get people to show up, constituents show up in droves to listen to him. Normally, it’s standing room only. His town hall meetings that are held at DVC are by far the most crowded of his events.

16
6

How many people really show up and how large are the venues he uses?
Let’s get an honest estimate.

DR. JELLYFINGER,
.
I understand that many of us here don’t agree with Congressman Mark DeSaulnier on most issues, but do you really believe he can’t get an audience when he’s won his general election races for the State Assembly, State Senate, and the US Congress with 60% – 80% of the vote? I don’t understand the disconnect? His town hall yesterday had an audience of about 200, parking was an issue, so many people showed up and left. He had a town hall in Richmond, when Richmond was part of his district, that had an attendance of 300 – 400. His DVC town halls have had an audience of 400 – 500. His town halls have the same approximate audience size of former Congressman George Miller III town halls. I’ve attended the town halls of Congressman Tom McClintock and his town halls have been similar in size. I also attended a joint town hall of Assemblyman Tim Grayson (the lying cheating corrupt preacher) and Senator Steve Glazer where they had an audience size of 250 -350. All of the townhalls I’ve attended have always been standing room only.

OK, the Black Knight attends…. anyone else?

I’d wager 60% to 80% of California voters just vote for anyone with a “D” alongside their name without knowing squat about the candidate.
Ask anyone on the street who their Congressman is, I’ll bet more than half of them won’t even have a clue.

DR. JELLYFINGER,
.
Yes, I’ve attended some of Mark DeSaulnier’s town halls, and I’ve attended other town halls held by others holding elected and appointed office. I try to attend as many public meetings and town halls as I can.
.
True, but Tom McClintock is a Republican and his town halls are approximately the same size. A majority of Californians, actually, a majority of Americans couldn’t name their US Representative, or State Legislative elected officials, whether Democrat or Republican.
.
I’d say a majority of those attending, maybe 2/3, are individuals that support everything Democrat or everything Republican. The remaining 1/3 is split between those attending because they have an interest in the subject matter being discussed, those that want to be informed of what their Representatives are working on and saying, those that are just curious, those that want to know what the opposition party representatives are saying, protestors (depending on the subject matter being discussed), and those needing help with an issue.
.
I’ve found that when needing help with something, I get far better and faster help when speaking with Mark (and/or Tom) directly. Mark’s office actually discourages constituents from making in-person appointments with staff and in-person appointments have a 100-day wait time. Mark and his staff are much more kind and helpful than George Miller and his staff were.
.
Again, you are correct, the majority of voters in California and every other state, just vote for a candidate with a “D” or an “R” and/or “incumbent” by their name. I’ve posted here many times that party affiliation and occupation shouldn’t be stated on ballots because voters should be knowledgeable about who and what they’re voting for. Having party affiliation and occupation on ballots are the equivalent of an in-kind campaign donation for certain candidates.
.
When Contra Costa County Supervisor Ken Carlson ran for office last year, the Contra Costa County Clerk-Recorder allowed him to cheat on the ballot when describing his occupation. Candidates are allowed 3-words to describe their occupation, Carlson was allowed to use the word “policeofficer” instead of the words “police officer.” If we didn’t have occupations on our ballots, it would also do away with this type of cheating being allowed for favored candidates with an invisible “D” by their name here in Contra Costa County.

He can’t even take care of the hard working tax payers and the retired people. He is a big joke!

Tell that oxygen thief to get on the phone to Rob Emanual (another useless POS) and tell Mr Kishida to immediately stop the dumping of Japan’s nuclear waste into the Pacific Ocean … and then resign and go sit in the corner … wtfo!!!??? … despite safety claims … THAT IS BS … on another level … I am taking the following actions as one person who actually gives a chit about our planet and has the moral courage to do something about it … #1 Sent email direct to Mr Kishida voicing my disgust at his decision to dump his toxic Fukushima (tritium) waste water into our precious ocean … #2 Vow to never again visit Japan as a tourist unless he immediately ends the dumping of nuclear waste into the ocean … #3 To boycott all things Japan … I will not purchase any product produced or exported from Japan and will not do business abroad with any Japanese owned or affiliated company … #4 To leverage social media for as many others to do #s 1, 2, 3 above. #stopFukushimaRelease #BoycottJapan #KishidaOut

Please join the effort people … we together can do this!

JOJO THE CIRCUS CLOWN,
.
You stated that you won’t visit Japan as a tourist, does your boycott of Japan and all things Japanese include residing in Japan? A few weeks ago you stated that you’d be moving to Japan in the near future.

Plan is suspened until further notice

I convinced JoJo that he belongs in Cambodia.

Hey Marky how about fixing problems like the unhoused, crime, open borders the federal deficit? Or is it you want to see the country go to the dogs.

9
5

… can he do anything meaningful for people?

7
6

Meaningful?
Well…….
He could release a big basket full of butterflies when he begins his speech, have some puppies and kittens loose too so they can frolic & play, chase butterflies, etc.
Would having a dog & pony beside him be too much?

4

You all are expecting to much from the guy. He is working with limited capacity. Something like the border or inflation are beyond his scope.

Didn’t know dogs and cats could vote.

I’ll give myself a hint…. 3 letter name.
