I’ve seen controlled fire training like this get out of hand several times. Yea so you need training, it can be done without burning dry grass near homes on a hot windy day.
No I’m not for it, y’all are firefighters as supposedly already trained, this is not needed to be done it’s ridiculously stupid.

Are they going to be fined by the Bay Area air quality management board? Anyone of us would be.

No prob! I’m guessing all the Fire trucks were electric so, = net zero carbon!!!

Smoke was in Walnut Creek and no one knew where it was coming from. I think they could have announced it before the they lit it. The smell was pretty strong.

Well we’re now getting heavy smoke here around Dana estates in Concord. Put the ###@!@@ thing out okay!

Please call and have your neighbors call the lamorinda fire district and let them know how bad the air quality was today so they don’t pull this again. What a terrible decision.

Let’s get it..I’m all ears

.
Is today’s air quality measurement excluded from official records since the burn is intentional?
.

Unbelievable amount of smoke today at ground level over Concord/Ygnacio Valley area.. If this was where it all came from what a ridiculous decision.

Let’s get those numbers up boys. We really need something to reflect on next year when we go to scare them with climate change HOAX. Hottest day ever causing horrible air quality and spontaneous combustion of historical indigenous tropical islands, quick get them all a plastic rotten food bucket to save the clock tower…haha

The height of summer does seem like a poor time to set fire to a dry hillside. Wouldn’t it be safer to practice when things are at least a little wet?

Beyond that, while I assume this was scheduled long ago, coming right after the horrific fire in Hawaii, smelling smoke was a tad unnerving.

Whomever decided to give the go ahead to do their had their head up their buttuski

You guys can practice your firefighting skills on PlayStation not an actual field

I really couldn’t believe it when I heard it. They decided to ruin the air quality for a million people to do a training exercise. With no real warnings given. I don’t say this word ever, but this is outrageous. You had to stay inside! Someone needs to answer some questions.

Controlled burning is the only way to prevent uncontrolled burning. Boohooing about a little smoke is such a crybaby liberal thing.

We had breakfast this morning with other retired firefighter’s and all were in agreement how stupid that was to do..

@Juryisout
Controlled burnings actually do prevent uncontrolled burnings. Sam above and Tommy Mac below are correct.

“Controlled burn” is more like it, not “training.” They’re burning the fuel in a controlled manner, before some idiot flicks a cigarette out the window at night causes the Oakland hills fire all over again.

In our transhuman dystopian present the biological androids do what the hive commander wants. Ever think you were going to wind up living a science fiction movie? On the other hand I grew up in rural farmland where they yearly did controlled burns and those never got out of hand. Air quality? That gives them another excuse to lock us down over “climate change”. Let’s see what Joey sez on Tuesday.

People with Asthma really enjoy it!
They should have done this in cooler weather if it is a necessity. Think boys… use your brains
