The following is from the Concord Police Department:

Last week, CPD Patrol Officers made an enforcement stop on a car for vehicle code violations.

During the stop, the driver was found to be unlicensed and had a narcotic smoking pipe on him. Additionally, he also had prior arrests for narcotic sales offenses.

Patrol Officers searched the vehicle and found nearly a quarter of a pound of methamphetamine.

The evidence pointed to narcotic possession for sales.

He was arrested for possession and transportation of a controlled substance for sales, along with other offenses.

NOTE: Concord Police did not release the name of the suspect.

Good job, CPD. Keep it up! CPD must have been really surprised such a minor infraction could lead to this booty (sarcasm).

I’m sure they could remove a ton of human rights that way

Smart Concord Police stop possibly saved many lives of your children.
Get these criminals locked up.
Great job Concord PD.

These stops for code violations are not equitable and impact vulnerable communities most! Stopping a law abiding, contributor to society for a tail light issue would never land them in jail. See, it’s not fair!

And this is why traffic stops should not be stopped. It’s a great way to weed out the problem people in an area.

How stupid can you be to drive around with with all that and top it off with glaring vehicle code violations.
They need mental help!

They know it doesn’t matter anymore they will just be cited & released. DA won’t prosecute

Bad on them. Clearly on the wrong tier of the justice system. Better to be Paul Pelosi, or Hunter Biden, hi on crack

I thought it was made illegal here in California for PDs to make routine traffic stops? It was deemed an infringement of criminals rights?
