The California Highway Patrol is investigating a shooting on state Highway 24 in Lafayette earlier Wednesday.

The shooting was reported around 11 a.m. on westbound Highway 24 involving people in two vehicles and caused one of the vehicles to collide with a third vehicle on the highway, CHP Officer Adam Lane said.

The two vehicles involved in the shooting did not stop but the driver of the third, unrelated car stopped and reported the shooting and collision.

The driver was not injured in the crash or struck by the gunfire, Lane said.

Wow… it was rare that there was a fender bender or road rage that one of the drivers would have a gun. Now they have a case where they both had guns! Boy I can see California’s strict gun laws are working! Not

It is impossible for gun laws to stop guns being used by criminals.
Criminals don’t follow the laws. Simple concept.

Wait. That was third car that got rammed was ME! Nothing to see. Keep voting libs. 20 feet away.

Once again: People are so dangerous and entitled as to have the nerve to react violently after having caused an accident.
People don’t fear consequences, so, this will continue to happen.
I seldom see CHP or Sheriff presence on the freeway and on the streets; their presence could serve as a deterrent for the up to no good.

What kind of vehicles? Stolen? Which way did they flee? West? Description of people? Oh, we can’t do that anymore…..Hmmmm.
We can’t even help.

NYTEMUVR,
.
Long Branch Saloon, Dodge City, Kansas.

@THE BLACK KNIGHT…Don’t forget Ms. Kitty, it took me until my teenage years to realize what her job was at the Long Branch, she managed the girls upstairs. Festus played by Ken Curtis had family here in the East Bay and I believe he lived here or had a house in Lafayette or Orinda.

Ken Curtis was part of The Sons of The Pioneers famous song group way back when. He had a great voice.

NYTEMUVR,
.
The radio show version of Gunsmoke, starring William Conrad as Matt Dillion, was more explicit than the TV version of Gunsmoke.
.
The best episodes of Gunsmoke were a 3-episode arc from 1971, titled “Gunsmoke: Gold Train: The Bullet,” starring Eric Braeden as the villian.
.
Producers actually wanted John Wayne for the role of Matt Dillion. John Wayne suggested James Arness for the role and appeared at the beginning of the first episode to introduce Arness and the series to the audience.
.
Interesting fact, James Arness and his brother, actor Peter Graves, never acted/worked together.

There is a disrespect alive and well in our country to the point where our National team now playing in a world cup stands with their hands behind their backs while our National Anthem is being played in the stadium. Every other team in the cup sings their anthem with gusto and ours looks disinterested. If they have no respect for their country if I was in charge I would send them home. So the disrespect goes from the streets to the stadium and beyond.

Altruism is slowly becoming a thing of the past. Empathy also. It starts with a poor foundation at home which morphs into self loathing over time. At that point it becomes easy to mistreat others.

I’m sure it was simply legal gun owners exercising their right under the second amendment…….Ha-ha-ha-ha.
that one was even a little thick for me.

So they sent the HP to Frisco to help out and now there are fewer to patrol the highways.

Bunch of cowards

They were either from Oakland or Pittsburg/Bay Point/Antioch.
