A lot of things. Mostly good people but a few absolute idiots with no life and simply respond to have the conversation/ confrontation. Had someone with the “B^!ls” enough to say “you gonna make me a sandwich when I get there” out of the blue??? Important to meet these people in CPD parking lot.

Yes. Bikes and tools and electronics . No problem with selling them; all buyers showed up on time. The only thing that I don’t like is that people ask “is this still available” when I specifically include “if the listing is up, the item is still available”

I sold a ’72 Chevy pickup once, but it was the old-fashioned way, through the classified ads. The experience went well, the guy paid me, and I signed over the pink slip. It was in the 90s when I sold it, and it only had 62,000 miles on it. It was a really nice truck, I’m kinda sorry I sold it.

I tried to. The problem is I get folks telling me they know of this late prince in Africa that had millions of dollars with no heir. You can make a big score of funds if you send them some deposits through western union.
This day and age it’s not the best way to conduct business.

No, I haven’t. I donate to charity, give away or throw away. It’s a win/win situation.

I used to buy & sell traditional archery bows and broadheads .
I’d refinish and sometimes add layers of fiberglass & wood laminations to strengthen and beautify the bows.
I made a few bucks, occasionally much more when I found some rare items.
All transactions went well except for one when an item was stolen from the porch after delivery & Post Office would not honor their insurance policy because the package had been delivered. I’d still be doing it but shipping rates are ridiculously high now.
I suspect shipping companies nearly always find a way to not pay out. Years ago I shipped something via FedEx ground intended for someone in the northeast USA. A couple of days later FedEx called me and said that their truck had caught on fire in Sacramento and that the cargo was destroyed/lost. FedEx refused to pay in the insured value, which was $300, as I could not provide them with complete documentation that I had purchased the item in the first place.

When I replaced the roof on my house I bought a roofing nail gun on Ebay for $100. I finished the roof and sold the nail gun on Ebay for $100. Cheaper than renting one.

I’ve sold hundreds of items online using ebay and OfferUp. All the transactions went smooth except for once when the buyer claimed I sold them counterfeit coins, but they were in fact authentic. The buyer sent me back fake coins and kept the real ones. ebay sided with the buyer and I lost out on a couple hundred dollars. Another time, I sold a coin on ebay, but the buyer claimed to have not received the coin even though the tracking indicated the coin had been delivered. I informed them that I would not be liable for lost or stolen packages, but the buyer insisted on a refund and began sending me threatening messages through ebay. ebay actually sided with me on that occasion. I think ebay read his threatening messages and saw that it had been delivered, which helped them rule in my favor.

“Is this available,is this available,is this available????”…..
“why are you sailing this?”
