So your dream job is…..killing human beings… kinda sadistic regardless of the circumstances.
No. I am not against the death penalty. It makes me question your your morals if this a “dream” job

Grand pappy told my pappy, back in my day, son
A man had to answer for the wicked that he done
Take all the rope in Texas
Find a tall oak tree, round up all of them bad boys
Hang them high in the street for all the people to see that

Justice is the one thing you should always find
You got to saddle up your boys
You got to draw a hard line
When the gun smoke settles we’ll sing a victory tune
We’ll all meet back at the local saloon
We’ll raise up our glasses against evil forces
Singing whiskey for my men, beer for my horses

1. Astronaut (yeah I know) 2. head of NASA with a huge budget 3. oceanographer

Assistant Chief Executioner, since Chief role appears to be filled.

Perhaps Press Secretary. All you have to do is say either “I answered that already” or “I am not going to answer that.”

True dream job would be calculating the size of my nest egg, with the assumption it is large enough for me to continue to provide extravagant comforts to my family, after I retire.

Trainer. I was very fortunate to retire doing what I loved. It was my niche. Helping people learn/achieve and move upward to promotional positions. Developed Business/Corporate Courses then presented them to the Business Bankers. They really responded. They knew the expectations with me. They respected that. Was in Management first, but then lateraled over saw an opening and went for it. Credit my Managers for also allowing me to take my best skills and watch their Bankers flourish.

That was my dream job. No matter the money.

Play with anything with color(s), Artistically.
And get paid the same for my artwork, …. like Hunter Biden.

I too like working with colors. I love to decorate. When I dress everything from my jewelery, to my shoes and make up is color coordination, I usually keep it to about 2 to 4 colours. I have more nail polish than I can use that I bought because I loved the color. I have knitted scarves just because of the colors, I don’t even wear several of them anymore.

Yes…living black and white is wasteful. Live life in full color.

An aerospace engineer at the NASA Ames Research Center, something I decided I wanted to do in the fifth grade. I did it (and retired from it), though I didn’t make a million dollars doing it. It was intellectually stimulating and I really enjoyed it.

It’s a tie between Formula 1 driver and sewage diver.

Formula 1 driver was a goal of mine at one point, though definitely not sewage diver.

My dream was to own my own business. When I lived in New York City, there was a little botique owned by a Danish woman, she sold all imported clothes from Denmark and some from Sweden. I was just getting married and floated the idea to my ex husband, he didn’t think it was a good idea, and I didn’t have enough of my own money to start it. After I got divorced I owned a diet center franchise for awhile (it was called Diet Center, they had Center’s all over the Bay Area), the company was sold and the new owners raised the franchise fee, then after the earthquake the busineess started to go down. I got out without too much loss, others lost a lot, they had leases etc. I still had a dream of started a business, at Thanksgiving I make and eggnog cream pie, that everyone raved about, then I started to make cheesecakes and brownies, adding my own touch to the recipe, such as liquer or rum etc. I had a few customers on the Peninsula, however I just didn’t have money I wanted to risk expanding. I would have been better off starting that rather then the Diet Center, live and learn. I sold Long Term Care for years and for the most part liked it, I still have my insurance license, but the Long Term care industri have changed, if I were to sell insurance again I would probably sell something else. I don’t mind working retail. I like helping the customers, and my coworker, but depends what department I’m in. Insurance were more interesting.

The one I had for over 30 years before another company bought where I worked and dumped everyone. Currently my favorite job is doing what I want when I feel like doing whatever.

Realistically, the job I have now is the best possible job I could have for this time of my life. A little bit of writing stuff, a little bit of geeky stuff, and a little bit if problem-solving and troubleshooting stuff. No overtime, nights, weekends, or travel.

Dream world ideal jobs that would not be realistic choices for various reasons: reference librarian, lawyer, ballet company rehearsal pianist, or if the job hadn’t disappeared due to computer automation and outsourcing to India, I loved proofreading and page QC checking for a textbook typesetting company. It was an information hoarders paradise – I got to read all the textbooks and learn everything, I didn’t have to take any tests, and I got paid for it.

I don’t work in my dreams. 🤣

Being a Union HVAC/R Service Technician. They are the “Gods of the Trades”

Retirement

I am actually an online culinary arts educator/entertainer … doing stand-up in Cambodia … not a bad gig.
