This postcard is from the mid to late-1960s, and it shows the Clayton City Office in Downtown Clayton.

Looks nice and cozy.

That’s a cool stamp, commemorating Finland’s independence from the Russian Empire.

That’s the perfect size city office. I think all government offices should be this size.

So many nice memories of sleepy humble Clayton … there used to be and old abandoned winery just across from the elementary school … we used to go there back in the 1980s and goof off.

Stamp is a clue. In 1968 postcard postage went to 5 cents.

The 1969 postmark on the stamp is another clue…

My wife worked there when it became the State Farm Ins office.

Yes I remember it, but when it was a real estate office. You know what’s funny? I’m not sure if it’s still there or not. Is it?

Love these old pictures

No, but I remember coming up Clayton Rd you had to veer to the right.

It burned down when it was the hair salon ran by the creepy guy.

Mayor, how come you are showing posts from over a year ago ?

good catch

but I don’t mind
🙂

If someone has local memorabilia for Claycord Online Museum to share with others how do you go about that?

Would love to see the Clayton winery … and also the Clayton Valley Skate Park … where I lived when not in class.
