Weekend Highs In East Bay Expected to Reach 105 Degrees, Could Hit 110

The National Weather Service issued an Excessive Heat Watch for the interior Bay Area and Central Coast going into the weekend, with inland highs predicted to range from the upper 90s up to 110 degrees by Saturday.

This week’s warming trend begins Tuesday, with inland temperatures hitting the mid-80s to low 90s.

Temperatures are expected to peak starting Friday, with moderate to major heat risk for much of the Bay Area, North Bay and Central Coast. With low relative humidity, this weekend’s dry heat also brings an elevated danger of fires inland, the NWS warns.

Overnight lows in the interior valleys should dip into the 60s, but are expected to remain in the 70s to 80s in the hills. Meanwhile, slightly cooler temperatures are on the forecast for Monday.

People looking for relief from the heat can head to the coast, which will continue to remain under a marine influence that will keep temperatures hovering from the mid-60s to low-70s during the weekend.

That stinks. I hate hot weather. I should move to Daly City, but I would never want to live there.

Ugh. My cousins live on Skyine Drive. It could be 70° and sunny in most of SF but foggy n dreary at their home. The pattern lasts for days and days. It’s rather depressing in my opinion.

This wouldn’t be a problem if PG&E could keep the power on, but I’m guessing we will have widespread power outages during this heat wave.

No problem politicians know what they’re doing . . . .
Solar power will drop off dramatically about 3:30pm but there’s still wind.
But wind speed drops on really hot days . . . .
They’ll buy power at peak prices from out of state . . . .
DEMs is so smart . . . . .
If the power goes out think of DEM politicians and unelected bureaucrats who did away with speaker plants.
An wait for newsom to blame “climate change” for their failed green brain farts.

Will Gov. Newsolini declare a climate emergency “out of an abundance of caution”?

The good news, if there is any, is that it falls on a weekend when demand for power is not as high due to less
industry and manufacturing needs. Maybe we’ll get lucky and PG&E will keep the power on. It could happen?

Sounds like a perfect day out on the Delta! As long as the hot winds don’t blow I am good with it.

N response, I expect Mark Desaulnier will hold another town hall to consider making Concord a clothing optional city

We’ll see. Seems like geoengineering at it’s finest (or worst). I recall going to a meeting over in Burlingame in 1994 where it was sizzling hot and then an event in the evening in SF where I about froze waiting for the doors to open.

The “dems” have turned “global warming” into a religion. 😲

I was wondering how this topic could be turned in tirade against Dems. But there you have it.

Please note that “dems” was in quotes. Those who call themselves Democrats these days are not the Democrats I grew up with. These “dems” are jingoistic as well as confused. They support Biden no matter what because they are terrified that Trump might be able to come back. Biden and the “dems” will be the cause of their own defeat.

Tune in KPFA this month, especially Amy Goodman’s “Democracy Now!” and the theme this month is apparently to highlight “human caused global warming”. Heaven forbid that the global average temperature went up 1 degree. There are all kinds of reasons why that may have happened not due to humans. Covid fear won’t work anymore so they try “global warming” fear. The good thing is that this won’t work for much longer either because science has been able to compile how much climate changed happened over centuries even when there were no humans to “cause it.”

Will they start announcements about ‘flexing your power’? Turn your thermostats up, don’t use power after you get home from work, blah, blah. How about they get a robust system that provides reasonably priced power for working families. Get on it, Gavin.

Patsy Poopie doesn’t worry about such inconveniences since she got her $51,000,000+ salary and bonuses for last years “work”. This coming from a retired PG&E management employee who started seeing the beginning of the “downfall” there in the 1980″s when the CEO barely made 1M$

For snicks, the temperature highs (climate) in Livermore in 1905 for the 5 days cited above ranged from 74 to 86. Quite a difference (Yikes, global warming!!!???). 4th of July weekend (July 3-7) this year in Livermore, high temperatures ranged from 70-91, but in 1905, high temperatures ranged from 105-113. Quite a difference (yikes, global cooling!!!!????, wait, maybe we’ll just call it the generic “climate change” so we can pick the pockets of taxpayers under the guise of controlling weather). Curious if, in 1905, the National Weather Service declared “Excessive Heat Warning.” Or in 1917, the week of July 20, when temperatures reached 112. These data are from NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
