After a chilly June, the Bay Area will see temperatures start to warm up by the end of the week, forecasters said.

The chance temperatures will reach 90 degrees or above is high for inland areas on Friday and Saturday, from the North Bay to Monterey County, according to the National Weather Service.

The probability is 95 percent for Livermore and 65 percent for Concord while Oakland and San Francisco face no chance, National Weather Service meteorologist Dalton Behringer said Monday.

In the North Bay, Santa Rosa has a 50 percent chance of 90 degree and above temperatures while Napa has a 20 percent chance.
In Santa Cruz and Monterey counties, the risk to coastal areas is 40 percent or less while inland areas face a 70 percent or greater chance.

Residents of Concord and Livermore should be careful Friday and Saturday because the risk of injury from the heat is moderate over the two days.

In Santa Rosa and Napa, the risk of injury is minor to moderate, depending on the location, Behringer said.

The temperature outlook for Sunday is uncertain, he said. Temperatures could fall or just ease slightly.

Frankly, 90° is okay. It’s the 100°, which we usually have at this time which is unpleasant. So, even though the headlines seems to be alarmist, bring on the 90°!

If I were a betting man I could probably win betting against their odds from what we’ve seen before. 🤣🤣🤣

We can always depend on July to be hot.

It’s amazing that we won’t have hit 90 degrees until the last day of the month. It’s been many years since we’ve had a June like this one. I’m sure there aren’t many who are complaining.

I’m complaining. I miss the heat. This cool and windy June is depressing.

I didn’t move to California for cooler weather. I didn’t move here for extremely hot weather either. Growing up in eastern Washington we had weather extremes. The last winter I left my hometown we had sub zero temps. Summers in August could be really hot, just in time for wheat harvest.
.
But I definitely think our weather is being manipulated and in the long term the results will probably be disastrous. It’s not nice to fool mother nature.

.
Will Gov. Newscum declare an climate emergency “out of an abundance of caution”?

Gov. Newscum has more than climate emergency promised. Blackouts will become the norm as we are forced to rely on electricity.

“Spare the air day!” I can hear it already

And as usual, the fires will be a complete surprise………..

The cooler weather was nice while it lasted. Didn’t have to run the A/C or the furnace all month and being outside was enjoyable. I will say the wind has been fairly relentless though.

I’ve lived in this area all my life and can’t remember when it has been sooo windy for sooo long! All last year and this year, never less than 12 to 17 mph wind predictions on the daily weather reports!!??

It was windy like this during the early to mid-nineties.

I find it hard to believe that most of the news outlets are reporting on how to stay safe in the heat. In my day we learned that in our schools and the Boy Scouts and are parents. Is anyone teaching the basics anymore?

Shut things down, stay home, people could get injured due to the heat!
