The East Bay Regional Park District will be performing prescribed burns at Point Pinole Regional Shoreline on Thursday and Friday as part of a firefighting training exercise.
Smoke may be visible and authorities ask people not to report smoke in the area to first responders, who are aware of the prescribed burns.
The prescribed burns are in accordance with local air quality restrictions and being done in partnership with the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department, Alameda County Fire Department, Cal Fire and the Moraga-Orinda Fire District.

imho – all the range fires and prescribed burns are more than offsetting all the “green” initiatives .. climate change started long ago
