The following is from the Walnut Creek Police Department:
Between September 2022 and March 2023, four commercial burglaries were reported in the 2400 block of Buena Vista Ave.
On March 22, 2023, Walnut Creek Police Department sought the public’s assistance by posting a video and image on social media of the suspect responsible for these burglaries.
WCPD received several leads from the public and Detectives were able to identify Joseph Alan Ramos (36 year old Concord resident) as the suspect.
A warrant was issued for Ramos and he was arrested on June 5 in Sacramento County on the WCPD warrant, additional warrants, and new charges by the arresting agency.
On June 8, this case was presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office and the following felony charges were filed:
- Penal Code 459 – Second Degree Commercial Burglary (four counts)
Ramos remains in custody in Sacramento County and will later be transferred to Contra Costa County.
Arrested just to be released
As soon as he gets here he will be on the streets the same day
Wow! funny he has no shame to hide along with the stogy hanging out of his face. Perfect example of play stupid games…win stupid prizes. Good work WCPD.
Plea bargain to single count, time served and probation.
So many PDs in surrounding cities are finding and arresting burglars. Our Concord PD is finding a lot of illegal guns and, for that, I am very grateful. Hope we citizens can better help Concord PD get better results in finding burglars. Today, on the 55th anniversary of the day I presented my mother with a gold charm bracelet to commemorate my graduation from “stew school,” I wish someone would find that bracelet stolen from my home on 04.01.2022.

2400 block of Buena Vista Avenue?
.
The scum must have burglarized a church or school because there are no “commercial” businesses or uses on that section of Buena Vista.
.
Send him to the electric chair to serve as an example.
.
“Commercial Burglary” is legal term and can be charged as a misdemeanor or felony. The other one is “Residential Burglary” which is an automatic felony. FWIW, stealing stuff from a detached garage or storage shed on a residential property gets charged as commercial burglary. If the garage is attached to the house then it’s residential burglary
.
As defined in the CA Penal Code?

Nice shirt
I thought it was Smokin’ Jay Cutler…
Good job LE! … now Becton do yours and stop the revolving door!

Looks like a fine upstanding citizen. Nothing to see here lol. The stogy adds a good touch
This was the same guy that caused a standoff in the Nordstrom Rack September of last year.
who is the fool now? What is happening to our society?
https://abc7news.com/nordstrom-standoff-arrest-pleasant-hill-rape-suspect/12278473/
he was just arrested earlier this year for a police chase, driving the wrong way on hwy 4, and domestics. this ended at the Nordstrom rack in p hill.
If when the perpetrator is arraigned the judge allows bail, yes he may be back out on the street but that does not mean he will not go to trial. To imply that nothing more will happen to him is misleading and wrong on so many levels. Apparently some commenters get some perverse satisfaction in running down the judicial system without benefit of putting forth any solutions. If you want more people to await trial in jail, you should support building more jails.
When it’s a Caucasian, they publish his photo.
When it’s a black guy they publish a picture of the getaway car with the license plate blurred.
How racist.
