Warrant Arrest – San Leandro Station

6/11/2023 1743 hours Paris Renney (8/15/1988, Oakland) was contacted in the bus zone. A records check revealed Renney had six outstanding warrants. Renney was arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail for his outstanding warrants. 2306-0517 L19

245(a)(1) PC Arrest – Daly City Station

6/11/2023 1248 hours Dana Thorton (5/20/1999, Oregon) was arrested and booked into the San Mateo County Jail for 245(a)(1) PC. Thorton was exiting a train and did not possess proof of payment.

Warrant Arrest – Civic Center Station

6/11/23 0822 hours Justin Mitchell (9/26/81, San Francisco) was detained for smoking on the platform. Mitchell was arrested and booked at San Francisco County jail on a theft warrant. Mitchell possessed proof of payment. 2306-0504 L22.

422(a) PC Arrest (Prohibition Order Issued) – Rockridge Station

06/10/2023 0206 hours Officers contacted Stanley Wright (03/11/1977, Vallejo) in the free area of the station. Wright was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Jail in Dublin. Wright was issued a BART Prohibition Order. 2306-0460. L21

06/10/2023 0143 hours Officers contacted Albert Dawson (10/05/1993, Redding) in the free area of the station. Dawson was arrested and will be booked into the San Mateo County Jail in Redwood City upon being medically cleared. 2306-0459. L21

Warrant Arrest – Lake Merritt Station

06/09/2023 1943 hours An officer contacted Rodney Snell (10/03/1997, San Francisco) onboard a train. Snell was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Jail in Dublin. Snell was not in possession of valid fare media. 2306-0456. L21

06/09/2023 1943 hours Robert Reese (11/02/1985, San Leandro) was contacted underneath the aerial trackway. Reese was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Jail in Dublin. 2306-0446. L21

Warrant Arrest – MacArthur Station

06/09/2023 1826 hours Officers contacted Ravi Vaidyanathan (02/13/1981, San Francisco) for fare evasion. Vaidyanathan was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Jail in Dublin. 2306-0435. L21

06/09/2023 1722 hours Officers contacted Steven Scally (09/05/1992, San Francisco) onboard a train. Scally was arrested and booked into the Contra Costa County Jail in Martinez. Scally was not in possession of valid fare media. 2306-0432. L21

06/09/2023 0854 hours Leonard FLYNN (09/17/87 Berkeley) was taken into custody and booked into Santa Rita jail in Dublin for the above listed charges. FLYNN was not in possession of valid fare media. 2306-0417 L11

From this I take the they’re actually arresting people and bringing them to jail for jumping the fare gate and not paying fare? Wow. The jails are going to be full! I see this happening every day and resent like hell that I’m paying my fair and so many are not. So yeah, I do support this. I also think that those people that don’t pay are the ones that cause all the trouble on the system.

A drop in the bucket.. there has to be 10 times the number of undetected fare evaders out there.

BART has a long way to go in winning back the public trust.

Oh… the State lawmakers just passed a BART bailout bill. Let’s see if Newscum signs it.

They waited way too long to start pounding their chest for a few fair evaders being detained or arrested. WTF have they been doing for the last 10 years or so? Answer is: Not a hell of a lot.
All of a sudden with the fiscal cliff looming, they are advertising how hard they’re working. BS
No more tax money!
