A Martinez man has been sentenced to life in prison in the shooting death of a Safeway delivery worker in American Canyon in 2020, the Napa County District Attorney’s office said Friday.

Christopher “Roly” Young, 26, was convicted of first-degree murder on May 11 for killing Nathan Gabriel Garza, 18, of Fairfield.

Garza was shot twice in the back on Aug. 16, 2020, while fulfilling curbside delivery orders at Safeway in American Canyon, according to the prosecutor.

The shots were fired from a Cadillac sedan later found abandoned nearby on Cattail Drive, the district attorney’s office said.

Napa County Sheriff’s deputies captured Young after receiving reports of a man hopping fences and entering the back yards of neighborhood homes, prosecutors said.

Young will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole, the district attorney’s office said.

A DA who follows the Law? It’s pathetic that the trash who murdered the home depot security guard Blake Mohs in Pleasanton only got 5 years.
Look it up…….it wasn’t self defense – she returned to the store to shoot Blake Mohs.

Where is the justice????

A Life Sentence for murder?

That’d never happen in CCCC.

WIsh Our DA..

Well, I wish we had a DA.

Whatever we have now pretending to be a DA, eludes description in polite company. ,

Our weak and pathetic D.A. emboldened the criminal element. But, hey…its all about Diversity, Equity and Inculsion.

Too bad the CCC DA doesn’t have a spine like this DA doing their job and protecting the citizens from trash criminals

Nathan Garza was shot in the back twice as he loaded groceries into customers’ vehicles at the Safeway in American Canyon. He was 18 years old, working a summer job, and planning to attend Diablo Valley College. He was a handsome young man.

And I’m glad that his killer was caught, prosecuted, and now sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for murdering young Garza.

Was Christopher “Roly” Young’s defense that he was “disrespected?”
