Galaxy S22 Android on T-Mobile. Coverage (5G) is really excellent except some remote locations.

Philosophically, I don’t like being limited to Apple’s proprietary hardware. The EU adopted legislation, last year I think, to abolish this practice by Apple.

I don’t believe in Apple products. Way overpriced and just as Troublesome. I have a simple Samsung phone that does 90% of what an apple does at 1/10th the price. Boot mobile at only 35 per month is my carrier. No troubles.
iPhone with t mobile. I love t mobile great customer service and good selection of phones.
Good coverage. But im going back to samsung. Not crazy about these iPhones. I miss my Samsung.
As someone that was in the cellular industry since pagers, I’ll tell you that if you travel, you want Verizon. Now with the new iPhones having satellite emergency features, again, if you camp, travel, or leave the cities, it’s a great choice. YMMV
My wife has an iPhone, while I have Android. I wasn’t dissatisfied with AT&T phone service, and I got a nice discount for having phone, internet, and TV from AT&T. However, the Nashville Christmas 2020 bombing convinced me that I needed to diversify my communication sources.
I discovered that T-Mobile has a much better veteran discount than anyone else, and I’m paying T-Mobile about half of what I had been paying AT&T.
I still have AT&T fiber internet, so they are providing Max at no additional cost, and T-Mobile is providing Netflix at no extra cost.
I have one of those old people’s phone. Think it’s an Android, smartphone, through Lively.
I never use it but think I should get a better set-up, so I would use it. I like the Verizon service.
Also, I need to learn how use these things’ function, …. plus, not a fan of a small screen.
Roz, my aunt had a phone through Lively. It was very frustrating for both her and her family because Lively puts their own front end on the phone, so it doesn’t work like a standard phone. When she needed help with the phone, it was difficult for family members to help her because it wasn’t like anyone else’s phone. One of her kids eventually got her an iPhone and added her onto his plan.
My advice to you is to ask your family what they use and get the same thing. It will make it so much easier for both you and them. Then you can get one of the younger family members to give you some lessons. If you don’t have family around to help, then ask a friend or neighbor who uses a smartphone.
iPhone 14+ on TMobile. Don’t agree with Apple’s politics or values but FaceTiming my granddaughter wins out for now. Great deals for Vets and Seniors, especially at the kiosk in Costco. TMobile service has been flawless since leaving Verizon after 3 decades!
I have both Android and iPhone because I develop mobile apps. iPhone apps sales are far better than Android. I also buy unlocked not contract phones. I have T-Mobile because they were the first to support Android but because the phones are unlocked I can switch out carriers anytime. Regardless of carriers I’ve had coverage in the house is not good because of foil lined insulation. Many of us live in Faraday Cages. However Wifi Calling solves the problem…. when it works.
I have a Motorola with Ting as my carrier. I have had both for five years and I am happy with both.

Android Motorola. Verizon is my Carrier. Never had an IPhone, don’t want one. Always excellent coverage with Verizon.
iPhone 11 on Xfinity
Android all the way! Just switched from a Google pixel 3a to a Samsung galaxy s23.
I have Google Fi and have never had a problem with coverage, but I hardly ever use it for phone calls – it’s more like my portable brain, and my friends and family know that texting is the best way to reach me.

Life is Good, both VERY dependable.
Samsung something with t-mobile. I use it according to my own needs. I’m one of those who believe my cell is for my own use and not every tom, dick, or scammer. My message part says if you know me call me on the house phone otherwise leave a message and the next time I turn the cell on I might return your call.
Jitterbug, and I love my very friendly operator who will help me with what ever I desire.
I have always had an android. When I started out it was MetroPCS, now they merged with T-Mobile. I have unlimited calls and texts all over the US, only $35.00 have not raised their prices, as a matter of fact it has gone down a few dollars. The customer service at the store on Contra Costa Blvd, next to Target, is great, always polite and helpful, even with minor things.
iPhones receive updates from the manufacturers for five years. These can be security patches or system updates. Android phones only receive them for two years. After that, they lose all their security support and any sort of updates that the manufacturer might have. Therefore, I no longer use android phones. Apple is worth the price.
Current Samsung policy is support for four years. It varies by vendor.
