The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said firefighters are mopping up a 5-acre vegetation fire on a hill off westbound state Highway 4, about a mile west of the Alhambra Road off-ramp in Martinez.
The fire was first reported at 9:46 a.m. and quickly went to a second alarm. No structures were in danger and no freeway lanes were closed, a ConFire spokesperson said.
The CCCPFD did a great job taking care of this fire quickly.

‘Glad it burned early in the season.
.
Meaning, it’s “pre-disastered” and unlikely to burn again this year.

See? A silver lining!
Kinda like getting killed will prevent you from having any future illness.
