Late night. I have always been a bit of night owl. However, when you have children and/or work 9 to 5 that is not very practical. Now I work retail, and my managers knows I’m not an early riser, so they most of the time schedule me to closing. Which means I get home a little before 10 p.m. I then fix a snack and a glass of wine, get on my computer and watch news or listen to music or a movie, usually don’t go to sleep until 1 or 2 a.m. When I worked an office job I would normally go to bed around 10:30 to 11:30 and get up at 7 a.m. When I used to do a lot of hiking with the Scandinavian Club, we often got a fairly early start, and I didn’t mind getting up early for that. Where I grew up the farmers got up very early 5 or so, there weren’t much traffic so it was very quiet, except sometimes the neighbors rooster would wake me up early.
Me too, I like staying up late.
Lunchtime! 🍣
Any time of the day when I visit your obituary page and don’t see my name.

Early morning! The air is fresh and dense and clean. It’s cool and my energy level high- I’m a morning person.. It’s also really nice to get one’s errands and shopping all done in the morning before noon.( stores are emptier and people are nicer )

I’m a bit nocturnal, so the evening is when I feel my best. I usually go to bed between 2 :30 and 3:30 a.m. and even then, I’m full of energy, but I don’t like sleeping late, so I have to go to bed, and I’m usually up around 8:30 a.m.
Life’s too short to be spending too much time sleeping. If I slept the recommended 8 hours a night, and if I live to be 90, that means I will have spent 30 years of my life sleeping.
The amount of sleep one needs varies from person to person. There is no right or wrong. If I get less than 6 hours I can feel it the next day. Two nights in a row without a good nights sleep, definitely I’m not the sharpest, I then tend to crave sweets, so that is not good. When I went to Iceland with 2 girlfriends and we shared 2 rooms in a house, one of my girlfriends slept to 2 p.m. We finally woke her up, and she informed us we had to wake her up at a reasonable hour, if we didn’t she would just sleep and sleep. I don’t think she have ever lived alone she went from her mothers to live with her boyfriend, and when the broke up she had another boyfriend she married soon after. She does not have children. I was not a good sleeper as a child, or even a teenager, my daughter however could sleep late, especially as a teenager.
@DAWG…. I was born at 4:15 am and worked graveyard shifts most of my life. I agree, life is getting shorter so I’ll sleep when I’m dead.
Pretty much the entire day is my favorite time, day or night, as I know it’s 5 o’clock somewhere.
